Morning.....just spoken to hospital, he is off the dialysis (this nurse says he's been off a few days, how come the other nurses did'nt tell me that...l asked!!) He's also not sedated, in and out of sleep, gets confused, not always aware who's there etc.....buts its a wonderful start:o)))

Thank you for all your positive thoughts, it does work, Fri - Sat we thought we were going to lose him. We know he's not out of the woods by any means, but its a start:o)))

Afternoon.....phoned hospital earlier, no change today. Also spoke to his neighbour who says he does recognise people beacuse he put his arms out to his son. That brought a lump to my throat when she told me!!! This is the youngest son who is finding it all too much, the eldest has had to go back home and will be back by the weekend.

Things have changed again, he may have had a stroke now and they were going to operate again, waiting to hear from his son. How much more can this family take, especially my cousin.
This is all because they ballsed up his hernia op!!!!!

will get back asap.

Still not heard from his son, well l did twice but the reception was bad on mobile, bet he's forgotten now!!!! l'll get back to him tomorrow.

Hi Jude, what a worry for everyone and how awful for your cousin, to have to go through all this because of errors, hope someone can sue the hospital for him, but mostly I hope he can find the strength to get through all that's coming at him, and his son stay strong too.

Morning:o)) each day is so different is'nt it....when l rang hospital this morning he was sitting on side of bed having physio....l would imagine he was supported but never the less SITTING ON THE SIDE OF BED is fabtastic:o))
He's having a scan this morning aswell, no operations planned unless the scan shows something. His speech detiriated yesterday that what makes then think it could be a stroke. His son did'nt get back to me, but there are other issues there and l know he has alot to deal with.
A neighbour is visiting him today and willget back to me. l've made another offer of going to Sussex but l keep getting told there is nothing l can do, plus l'm not sure where l will stay this time!!

Will keep you updated.

Liz.....l think there is alot that has gone very wrong with the original operation on his hernia, its possible they perferated the bowel, plus the mesh from the hernia stuck to t!! He was actually bringing up what the bowel should have passed, and his stomach has been drained so many times, then a tube into the stomach to drain off........l think they will definately start an enquiry!!!!
