Please would you nominate or suggest ideas for discussion. If I have not received any new ideas then maybe we should discuss Ideal Holiday as nominated by Tess.
Different subject now. Army son will be married in just under 3 weeks and they are having their reception at Chesil House in Winchester. the menu looks fantastic and when I searched the restaurant on google iit looks quite delightful. I am so excited. This is the second twin who when born was so tiny he had to be fed by a special pipette, and he could only have a maximum of 1 ounce of milk at a time
Have to go now as needed at work...yes I know it is Sunday but Head of Care off sick following an op and deputy worked last weekend...I will be back on here this evening Bye for now
Bridget PS Contemplation time will be around 11am for me so will be thinking of you all but especially those who hearts hurt or have serious worries and concerns.

Goodmorning from a cloudy JBay this morning.
Thank you Mary, Theresa, Bridget and Ann for thinking about me last week, I appreciate that. The minister who conducted the service is a friend of ours and knew my brother so there was a personal touch which was really nice. Things are getting back to normal.
I hope you have recovered from your accident Bridget, you will definitely have to put some stickers on the door.
I would go with Theresa on the Ideal Holiday, or the Goal of Education.
Being Monday, there are all the usual mundane things to be done so I will be off to get started on them.
Take cae.

Gppd morning all
Sorry I have not responded to the discussion question but I have been thinking about it - and yes ideal holiday topic would be a good one to start with.
Bridget - hope you have got over walking into the glass door. I hope your son's wedding day dawns bright and sunny for you all and shall expect to hear all about it from you afterwards.
Val - the fact that the minister was a friend of the family and knew your brother must have made the service 'more special' for you all. You take care xx
Well like Val, back to Monday and all the mundane things like housework - and the sun is shining too - I am at the moment reading a book which is gripping . could be so tempted to say """ the housework and just sit down and continue reading it !!!
Enjoy your day all and stay safe
Love Mary xx

Val, it was good to hear that the Minister was a friend of the family and knew your brother. As the others said, he would be able to give a more personal and heartfelt touch.
I will still be thinking of you in the days to come.
Mary, hope that you are pleased that Spain have got through to the Semi-Final of the World Cup. I bet everyone near you is smiling ++ By the way, what book are you reading?
Bridget, will get back to you with holiday rambles. Might even mention a few. i.e. My dream holiday (if I got rich) My fantasy holiday (can't really happen but I would like it to). The best holiday I've had to date!

Hi everyone, Returned from a wonderful holiday in Portugal at the weekend, also managed a couple of nights in Ronda. Had a really great time and the boys had organised a special day for us on our anniversary....swimming with dolphins..it was magical!!!! Have caught up with the thread and would just like to offer my condolences to Val on the death of her brother. Bridget...it is definitely time to retire. Hope the face is better and that your OH is also recovered. Ideal holiday sounds like a great topic. Enjoy the remainder of the day. Wednesday will be difficult for us as our boys live in Germany and we are in Spain, but we do have Spanish flags on our car.
Bye for now, Frances.

A few quick words before I lose the internet connection! We have intermittent internet access due to a major problem with a cable between Mumbai and Daar-es- Salaam. Apparently this will continue for 8 days so I might be missing for a while! Being technologically challenged I don't understand the finer details!!
Thanks for your message Frances,
To-day has been a really blustery and unpleasant day here, not our kind of weather at all.
Take care,
Val in SA.

Just to quickly answer your query Bridget re the business. I am a trustee for Gloucestershire Lifestyles. This is a charity which has a small number of paid employees, our main aim is to enable disabled people and their carers to live as normal a life as possible. There is a website but I am not sure how up to date it is, we are in the midst of re-organising our corporate image.

Ann in Glos Thanks for the info, hope I didn't sound nosey! Well thank you to everyone I think that it is clear that the holiday theme seems to suit most so off we go and tell our stories. Not sure if we should make judgements or simply enjoy reading each persons entry. I will lleave this to you all who I now refer to as my cyber friends.
Of course if you want to write more than one story that is OK as well
Take care everyone

Bridget, I probably wont join in with the holiday story as all my writing is channelled to the writing group thread.

,Of course and I understand. The writing group is great and I have been working on my next piece which is very emotional for me and it is also helping me to come to terms with something.
This idea was simply to write about someting as a piece of fun and no in debth debate or critique
Anyway we enjoy your contributing on here so I for one am looking forward to any comments you wish to make. Well I am off to bed soon so will say goodnight and as I drift off to sleep I shall be having my night time contemplation and then in the morning will add to BBS daily diary Night, Bridget

Had a little nap before watching the football. I reckon a few people on here will be pleased with the result. Looking forward to watching the game on Sunday. Plus the third place play-off on Saturday. My sister came round yesterday to use my computer. It was good to see her. Was able to show her some of the Irish ancesters on 1901 +1911 census. What I find remarkable, is that the head of the family, (if they were able to write), signed the card/sheet with their details on. So we were able to see "the mark" of one great-grandmother; the signature of another and the signature of my grandfather (who died when my Mum was a few months old). It is marvellous to think that we are able to see (albeit on-line) a document that they had handled! I think that the pollen count might be quite high, or at least the pollen near my home is having a good time irritating me. Other than that I am well.

Tess, do you ever think about what our ancestors would say if they knew that we could read their signatures all this time afterwards. Bridget, I look forward to reading people's thoughts. Actually I might have a piece I can add if I can locate it, I did do a piece somewhere on holidays.

So pleased that you are thinking of adding a piece on here, selfishly your message made me feel that we fully understand each other, and are cyber friends again. I have an Interview today to make sure thatI am a fit person to manage a care home...given that I have been in post for nearly 10 months I am appalled at the system. The person doing the interview sounded very pleasant when we spoke and I believe in what is taking place but the beaurocracy is way out of control
Well that is all for now
Bridget PS
Can someone please tell me how I attach something from my computer on to a message on here...sometimes I feel rather dumb about these matters
