Stay calm now Joyce, I know how excited you are but we don't want you falling again before little one arrives. I bet Rachel will be glad when Olivia Mai is here.

Hiya Joyce,

Great to see you posting again.

You are a very lucky lady to be blessed with so many babies in your life.

I have stopped holding my breathe as I don't think I shall see any grandchildren let alone great grandchildren. Daniel won't be having any
and David does not know which side of a baby is up so would not know what to do with one.

Hope you are feeling much better.

Lindy xx

I was convinced I was having another girl when I was expecting so got a few little dresses that I couldn't resist but had lots of stuff from before which was lilac and lots of white. When my son was born I had to wait till I got out of hospital as in for 11 days, and then went straight to C & A sale - we still had one then lol - and fell in love with lots of little blue things. i had never liked blue or worn it myself till then but it changed my thinking and I wore blue as well as my lad after that.

I always think it is better to get just a few things beforehand even if you have been told what sex the baby is supposed to be as the docs often get it wrong! Or buy white or other colours that either sex can wear.

I know you have kitted her out already Joyce, lol, so let's hope Olivia Mai is not an Oliver in hiding lol

Lindy, if your lad sticks with Ana? I am sure she will make sure he knows what end is what of a baby very quickly lol
My son made me sad the other day - we were having a quick meal together at Sainsbury's, a two for one deal, and he said how much he would love to settle down and have children, or even just have a steady girlfriend but until he can clear his debts and get a better job, he can't put his mind to relationships cos of the stress and worry of his life. He has been out with a few girls since his break up with A. more than two years ago but said none of them were the right ones, and now he doesn't go out so often he meets the same girls all the time, and I think he doesn't make much effort with any of them cos he knows he hasn't even got the money to take one out or such. I felt so sorry for him, and wish he could find a better paid job to get himself sorted. Norfolk is notorious for low paid work anyway and there is so little here for young people. He tries so hard too, doing a part time job as well as his full time one.

One day Lindy, we will have a little one to spoil I am sure.

Oh Dear Liz,

Your post made me feel so sad....and yes God willing we will one day both have a little one to spoil.

Your boy sounds as if he is very down. He does not need money to be in love and today young people have a whole new outlook of life then we did. It is acceptable if the girl pays for a drink or a sandwich.

As for meeting someone new, it is not always easy but someone always knows someone that might be worth knowing. I could not help over hearing a telephone conversation between David and Ana and they were planning a way to hook up his friend Johnny with her friend...lol..

I had a good laugh to myself. Vitor was a blind date, in fact a favor to a childhood friend, as I had never been on a blind date in my life.

My friend was very interested in a young woman who's parents would not allow her out unless on a double date. So Vitor, who was his friend agreed to double date. I needed my arm twisted and only went as a favor.

To be honest I thought that Vitor was boring and too old fashioned for me, but he was persistent and the rest is history. The point I am trying to make is that there is no reason for your boy to be alone and money, or the lack of it should never be an excuse for him not to get out there and mingle.

(((Hugs))) to you both

Lindy xx

Thanks Lindy, I think he remembers how difficult it was when he was with A. the single Mum, and he used to help her out but it meant they didn't have much money to go out and he didn't have a car, he still doesn't as hasn't passed his test, he wouldn't be able to afford to buy and run one anyway at the mo. I guess if the right girl is out there she won't care if he is well off or not, and he will get straight eventually and pay off his debts so he can do what he wants. Most of his mates still live or lived till recently at home, so they didn't have the outgoings he has, with the parents paying for lots of things but he is learning the hard way the value of money and I am sure things will come right for him in the not too distant future. He still has a huge crowd of single mates to go about with or they go round his flat and chip in for some food from the Tesco shop over the road, and they cook a meal together so he isn't lonely that's for sure.

Sweet that David and Ana are matchmaking lol
