I haven't watched anything else for about six months now. I would be much further along the ancestry trail if I didn't spend so much time with wet underwear caused by following and adding to certain threads on these boards.

OH sticks head in door from time to time to see if I'm still alive.

Thought I'd save myself some time and entice my rellies into entering data into the tree. Wrong!!. The reaction I received was , i didn't look at it because the tree wasn't called by our name." What?? I named the tree after my OH, not my maiden name. Soved that problem. It's now called Our Family Tree. 0/10 for originality.

One lot didn't even respond. Plodding around that lot by contacting younger branch of that family.

At least I'll know that my children and children's children won't have to go through this. Not that they're interested, well not at this stage.

Edit: Got it ! GooseyLucy. Whooo hooo that'll do nicely.

Was going to post the query here. Can feel the vibes. I'll post it on my Kimberley thread.

Oh I'm a good girl.

Uuurghh.

Anybody remember that nasty sister-in-law who allowed as how No.1 maybe wasn't really in hospital, he was just trying to get out of helping move old stuff out of his mum's condo in their city the weekend he nearly died? I was discouraging her from sending her local sister to check on him in hospital. He was in ICU, and the very last thing he needed/wanted was to see or hear from the unknown sister of the obnoxious sister-in-law. So when I made my discouraging noises, she voiced the doubts, and that was when I told them how serious his condition, which I had minimized, actually was.

Well, not to be outdone, last week she had a heart attack. She's 45. She's had angioplasty and will be off work 6 weeks on unemployment insurance sick benefits. That could be a stroke of luck ... she and No.1's brother work in the auto industry and their jobs are circling the drain ...

So Glenys! I forgot to say -- I passed on your good wishes to No.1 when he got out of hospital and he said Oh! and looked pleased to hear you'd thought of him.

They just don't know how much we talk about them behind their backs, do they?

I see the thread has grown like Topsy as I was off tending to family brushfires (and seasonal extreme workload). And still no one wonders whom Glenys met in Canada ........

I have given up wondering.
No answers on that front ,so obviously doesnt like to say who/m exactly.

Maybe they were horrid or....
So nice, she wants to keep them to herself.

Oh forgot to add,
Nice to see you returned from nursing the lord and master, and that himself is feeling better.

My favourite phrase for the moment. Politeness and a sense of self preservation precludes me from commenting further.

Except of course to say I am really pleased your family problems have been sorted out. I can empathise with you. Last family problem I dealt with had me driving the OH to hospital, way above the speed limit, yelling at him, "You can't die on me now, I don't have the time for this sh*t, pick a time when I'm not busy." (In case you're wondering he refused to ring ambulance). Everything turned out OK. But men, can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em!

Oh and I could take a very calculated guess at exactly who Glenys met whilst traversing the land of maple syrup, beavers, mounties and cute political personages, but politeness and a sense of .................

Mumble, mumble, mumble.....

Sherlock, waddya mean, what song? The Lumberjack song, of course! *tuts*

And Janey, glad to hear No. 1 realised he was being talked about! lol

Vivienne - noooooo, I do want peeps to know. Tell you what; as there are males and females on here from Canada, I'll narrow it down.

Female.

Oh dearie me. Glenys, I thought you were talking about the Marlon Brando movie with the exploding toad in it. Your post about the song comes after that post.

Couldn't ever remember hearing a hit song from that movie.

I'll have to follow the conversation a little more closely.

I think..Ms Glenys met Ms Janey whilst on her trip to Canada...clues are there ;)

Janey, I'm intrigued, who is No1 please.....or is that to personal...

Viv...my behind has also expanded but is now shrinking, due to copious amounts of "Slim Fast" and no (yes I mean NO) vodka...so woe is me too.

Finally! Someone places a bet!

No.1 isn't No.2. ;)

Under my former nom de plume, of course!

The synopsis is on page 4. (And if you decide to plough through the whole thing, ignore the last half-dozen posts, some prank that fell flat.)

Mistycat Report 18 Jun 2009 02:06

Ah, not being a regular board (except the "let's find dead people" ones) reader, I missed that....

So having read the synopsis..curiosity got the better of me, I just had to read the whole thread to see the outcome....nothing!!!

What happened...Is No 1 still sitting on the chesterfield...Did No 2 wing his way to you, for your weekend of "thrills and spills"...Did No 1 discover the truth about No 2 and.... Did you act Dishonourably ;))

Did I miss something ??

I guess you never took flight to the Southwestern US.....otherwise your meeting with Glenys would not have taken place ;)
