I am sure you can't be shirty for long Daff, and hope all the blips are overcome very soon.
Glad Mr Daff is wearing his sensible hat and keeping you safe from those nasty bugs and such around us all at the mo. I know he will look after you well and support you as only he can through whatever comes at you.
take care, and try not to get downhearted.
love and hugs, Lizxxx

Morning all........ well, the sun is shining again, I am over my *blip* and my shirtiness........ and ready to face the world!!
Maz, I am doing a little bit of gardening, too! Hope the weather stays fine for you. Oh, and well done for getting your assignment off.... it must have been hard, knowing you had already done it once, and wasted so much time!
Easy weekend this weekend... we are going to Wyevale as they are closing down and everything is half price..... just to see what is left, as it has been closing down for a couple of weeks now... then to Blooms if we can't get what we want there... then back here, and I shall dead head and cut back... around the back... R will spray some weeds, dig up others, and remove the kitty dooh dooh, and put up the new arches we hope to buy..... I would have bought them weeks ago, but R likes to take his time... he wanted narrower ones, but was aghast that they were almost twice the price... so we have spent a fortune going from place to place to see if they could be got cheaper, lolol
So... we will be having the wider ones as he has measured and they will fit.... we won't tell him, again, that I had already measured and knew they would fit, lol.... he doesn't trust my method of measuring roughly... but it is almost exact, and if it needs to be exact then I use the tape measure. I am good at it... done it loads of times, and was taught the method by an old lady in Cyprus, in the material shop I went into.... the length, from tip of middle finger to tip of middle finger, is almost exactly your height... mine is slightly smaller, as I have short arms. R is 6ft 1in... he has long arms... so his stretch is just between a yard and a metre...... we've measured it, but he still doesn't use it.... so much easier than carting... and losing lol.... tape measures around with you!!
I come from a long line of master craftsmen, carpenters, ornamental stone masons, and similar..... even some of the women had milliner stores of their own..... the ability to cast my eye over something and know if it would fit, or was long enough to make an outfit, etc is in my genes!!
Right... off to start getting redy.... brekkie first, I reckon! What to have? egg, sardines or beans on my toast... run out of bacon!
Taff.... can' you sneak a photo??? Aw bless... I assume at least one of the new babies is a little girl, then? Congratulations to the new mums and dads. I don't have to be an inpatient for the Bone Marrow... they'll do an aspiration, but if that doesn't look brilliant, they'll trephine as well... but he is expecting brilliant, lol They will then make me rest for half hour... on a bed, so I can't run away, lol... then they check that bleeding has stopped, and then let me go home. If I am in the Gwent sooner than next Friday for the other plumbing biopsy, they might get the Haemotology consultant from there to do it while I am in... she was the one who did my first, and gave me my diagnosis... so I won't be gone for long, promise... just little bits of me, lolololol
Morning Liz..... and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I am fine now, I promise... and yep, he is being Mr Sensible, lolol More like a rottweiler crossed with a chook, actually, lolol
Ann, I slept well last night... Pol, Jethro and Hermie all on the bed with me, but in sensible places, not wrapped around me lolol.... well, they were there when I switched out the light, and still there when I woke up for a loo visit at about 5 this morning......... Pol was the only one still there at 9, when I woke again.... and is asleep on the window sill near me now....... so I clearly don't need fussing over any more!!
Love and (((((((((hugs)))))))) to everyone... have a brilliant weekend!

afternoon everyone, sorry to hear you have had a set back Daff....am feeling quite queasy at the thought of the "aspiration", so sending you HUGE hugs from us!
We had my Grans funeral yesterday, she'd specified exactly what hymns etc she wanted, and my sister played her cello (as per Grans instructions). it was as she would have wanted. nearly all the cousins were there, and we met my cousins baby for the first time....she's gorgeous, but not as gorgeous as my two obviously!
~~~~~~to everyone, xxxxxxxxxxx
Sounds like you are winning there, Maz... what are you planning on putting into the new bit?
Mamiddau..... it sounds as though your Gran had the perfect send off..... sad occasion, but there is always something happy about them, in a perverse way... saying goodbye to your Gran, and Hello to a new baby seems fitting, somehow, doesn't it?
Ann, that sounds like a perfect day, too! We didn't do all we planned.... we got the arches from Argos... buy one, get one free, lol... so we ordered online and then trundled off to fetch them.... R put one up, and we have added some bamboo bits to it to support at the sides...... and the one rose is alredy looking good, fanning out against it. The other needs cutting back quite a bit... it has a lot of blackspot on it, which I have chopped off.... I'll finish it tomorrow.
We pulled zillions of weeds, and have worked out which plants I want lifted and moved to fill in bare spots, and what plants will do better in the space they left, lol... bit like musical chairs!! We tied up clematis, cut back all the plants that are going over, and generally had a lovely time... tomorrow, we shall have lunch out there, if the weather is ok.
BC, your little jasmine is not so little.... I have been pinching out the tips, and it has bushed right out..... so a week or so ago, I let it run riot, lol... it is now about 3 ft tall, very bushy.... and ready to fly!! It is right outside the doors to the conservatory, and there is a bench just the other side... so it will be glorious next summer!
Xxxxxxx, Joy Thank you xxxxx
Well.... dinner is in the oven..... a sort of fish hot pot, ...... with shellfish, and cobbler, broccoli, cauli, courgette, onion, carrots and potato... it is usually gorgeous..... but then, I love seafood! I just wish I could smell it, lol
See you all later
Love
Daff xxxx
Daff, take it from me, your fish stew smells delicious.
Night all.... see you in the morning.
Good evening Daff and all.. I have had a busy day and it looks like everyone else has too:-) Mammidau, it sounds like your Grandma had a great send off, the cello always makes me weep for some reason. When my Mum died, my brother played the uileann pipes (as per her specific instructions!) and there wasn't a dry eye in the church. Lovely!
Daff, I am so happy to hear that the jasmine is blooming and I hope in years to come it will be as rampant as mine! I never cut mine back, though, I can't bear the thoughts of it! lol I am the world's worst pruner...
Nighty night all.
Morning all.... what a miserable day it is here! I do hope it clears up soon..... we would like our lunch in the garden!!
Also, off down to the garden centre, again....... got the wrong weedkiller, and we are almost out of the spray for the roses... it kills bugs and rust and stuff... but also nourishes the plant
We have to kill two of the hollyhocks... they are covered in rust... I am gutted!!
When I was doing the front yesterday.... underneath the cranesbill, I found a clump of little treasures... I planted them the year before last, but as annuals, little tiger lillies they are.... they will be transplanted today!! I shall be thinning out the beetroot, as well... and I found another potato hidden away, with lots of potatoes on it.. will dig them up properly and have them for dinner.
R is like you, BC... he hates to thin out, he feels as though he is murdering his babies.... he still has to thin out the carrots, lol!
Well.... lets go and get ready to go out!
Love
Hiya Ann and Jude... well, I didn't get to play in the garden... we got back from shopping, and I was exhausted... felt a bit steam rollered... ate loads of chocolate, most unlike me... and then slept for hours... I am now ready for bed again... R has just made me a drink of hot chocolate to take to bed, bless him... he is watching a Segal film, but I am not in the mood.... I like some of his films, but not all.
So I shall love you and leave you..... hopefully I shall feel better tomorrow, more wide awake!!
Love and night night
