Hi Ladies
I am giving the crafting holidays a lot of thought as been chatting to Patricia about doing them next year.
Was thinking on poss 5 days with the option of meals, but would have to be aimed at groups of friends as only have two bedrooms in gite but can have single beds in there to take up to four.
Been on the web looking to see what else is about, any suggestion welcome.

xx Jill

Good evening to you all and hope everyone is keeping well.
Had a great weekend away at the Craft Barn and was good to meet up with some ladies from the Time for Crafting forum . Bought lots of goodies and addicted to using cosmic powders on top of images stamped with Encore ink. Mixing three of the powders give a lovely effect and also love the cosmic cakes for painting with.
Stocked up on more alcohol inks and distress inks and bought some lovely stamps made by Crafty Individuals.I bought so much that I had to get a larger case :))
Met up with Kelly and RĂ©mi on Monday and that made a perfect ending to the weekend.

xx Jill

PS Booked to go on the next demo weekend next June :))

What a beautiful day it has been today. Lovely and warm and the sun has shone all day, hope it has where you are.

I made a 'word' card for my granddaughters birthday and have been asked by two mums to make one for their daughters, I have no idea what to charge. They take 10 sheets of a4 card plus the printing and all the decorations and border peel offs, wish I hadn't agreed to do them now!!

Jill sounds like you are really organised and enjoying yourself!!

Enjoy whats left of the weekend everyone.

Hi all,
Just a few moments with you all.
I have thought of a tip and would like to pass it on to you all. When you send your precious hand made cards away, the ones in particuar I mean are the ones with beads, use a strip of the bubble wrap against the beads. This is light in weight and cheap I say cheap because I seem to get such a lot of this stuff with my goods these days and just means cutting a strip off.
Just think girls, xmas is just around the corner.
See you soon.
Many thanks JOJO for the lovely card. I wil be writing soon.

Afternoon girls, Hope everyone is keeping well.
The weather has changed today, glorious sunshine yesterday to overcast and a bit chilly today, but at least it didn't rain, got all the washing dry.

The class I went to last week, Stampin Up, was really good, learnt some new ways of using stamps. The lady had set out a bag for us all, with everything in it, all colour co-ordinated, we made a little carry box and 3 cards to go inside, all had the same main stamped image on them but all three were different. It went too quickly for me... looking forward to next time :)
I have just ordered a few things LOL, some beautiful christmas (oops!) stamps and a few more bits to play with....... they are expensive but well worth the money.

Take care, speak soon

Can anyone tell me the difference between pyramage (sp) and decoupage please

Jo Jo

Jo Jo Report 22 Sep 2009 21:09

Ann pyramage is when you cut the image in circles or squares hexagons, whatever you choose and they go down in size, like matting and layering. Where as the decoupage you cut up the actual image. Pyramage is much easier to cut and looks better if you use foam pads as they keep each layer level. Hope that makes sense.

Heather sounds like you had a lovely class.

AnninGlos Report 22 Sep 2009 21:13

Thanks Jo, yes that does make sense.

Morning ladies, it's another lovely day. We have had over a week of mild sunny days, I hope it lasts for a while.

Yesterday I was telling someone about my cuttlebug and what I did with it. I suddenly got the idea to look on youtube cos I have found lots of interesting craft info on there and there are lots of very interesting videos. Just type in cuttlebug in the search box. Hope you find this useful.

Hope you are all keeping well.
