Rita
Such a shame you couldn't come. My FIL has what he refers to as his shooting stick...................... you know one that when you sit on it, it disappears(who knows where) !!!!

I really wanted to borrow a wheel chair so we could put a couple of those fishermens chairs on it and if and when he needed to rest he could just sit but he wouldn't hear of it !!! Still while he can still poddle around we must let him. He is 86 this year. Unfortunately the Uncle who is 89 doesn't go out very much now and it would have been too much for him.

Enjoy today whatever you get up to Rita and you others whatever you do.

LOL Rita, I know it wasn't funny for you (spilling your tea) but it did make me laugh when you said you thought you'd wet yourself. Could you not borrow one of those tripod seats from someone so you could go today? It would be lovely for you if you could see Sue and Linda as well.

Linda your FIL (and uncle) sound like all my elderly aunts and uncles, they find it hard to get about but just wont hear of using a wheelchair. It seems to be some sort of pride thing with them, would rather stay in than let people see them in a wheelchair.

Hi Shelly
Well had a lovely time at Sandhurst. No Ididn't manage to find Sue. She put out a message to find her at the Ghurka's curry area. Well I was already there with the gents but I didn't know who I was looking for .............. so we missed each other !!!

Got home about 5:00 and youngest came over to see her grandpop. Then we had tea. Just salad.

I've been trying to access my FTM to add some more details to the tree, but for some reason it won't open ?

Getting frustrated now.

I'll check back later.

Shelly I am looking for that tonight on BBC1 I enjoyed the last series and it is a real eye opener to see what happened in those days

I am so dry now I could drink four gallons of water ,I was working on some more research this afternoon and sorting out papers that were all muddled I always make a mess of them so I have put them down in a book under family names so i can check easily when I want to look up something quick I am working on the later families now. Labbetts. Wiltershire. Smallwood. Symonds Baglin and Woodcock. Langston I dont think I should have done them all at once as I got into a muddle putting the right names under the right family
still b it late now I keep having abreak inbetween but have had enough for today

I hope Sue had a good day at Sandhurst.

OOps cuppa first, shows what sort of a morning it is !!!

Morning everyone.

Sorry to have missed you Sue. We must have been round the Ghurkas at the same time !!!! We really must have a chat and sort out red roses or a certain newspaper before we next try to get together .

Left my 2 men in their chairs last night and had an early night, we were at Sandhurst for nearly 6 hours.

Emptied the last of the food from the freezer this morning. The dustmen will be wondering what we are up to. Oh by the way, GOT the cheque on Friday last week. Yipee only 10% reduced for open packets. Must say I am impressed with the service we received from Nationwide.

Managed some research yesterday, but my FTM is playing up and I need to sort out my old Windows XP and the new Vista on my laptop.

Have a good day. No children today. Just FIL and going to try to see the 89 yr old Uncle for lunch. Taking him out not making him prepare it.

Be back later Linda :o) XxX

Linda we will have to wear a Badge with the letter GR on so if we meet someone with that we will know they belong to GR cannot mistake it for Great Western Railway LO

I am pleased you too enjoyed your day at Sandhurst Sue said she did but was tired after all the plodding about. you were lucky it was such a nice day. todays forecast is not good storms. it is very overcast here in Surrey whay you call a grey-day.
