Shelly, I thought you already had names on your photos.

I didn’t know people could take copies of photos off your tree.
I only made mine private a couple of months ago.
Does that mean anyone could have taken copies of the photos I had?

Morning All

I write on the back of my photos so I can tell who they are as I forget sometimes and have to sit and think.
I found lots of old phtographs in one of my fathers albums and some had writing in pencil on them some were fading so I took a magnifying glass to them and could just make out the imprints some ev en had dates written and the place they were taken which helped..
I started wrting underneath the phto's of the ones I took and then thought I had better write on the back as you can loose the actual photo from the print underneath.

Hope every one had a nice weekend. mine was quiet no visitors so I did some family adding to the tree and managed 30 names..

Marilyn was visiting her sister Shelly, looking forward to a curry her sis was cooking.

Oh poshpixie, I did so have a good time. Visited lots of different waterfalls, Aberdulais, MelinCourt and more, plus Swansea Maritime Museum. Uncle had a fabulous 90th birthday too. Nervy and with butterflies in my tummy as tis so many months since I have ventured far, I had a wonderful time thank you. o)) xxx

There are not many photos of me Rita due to my past, yet I too always write lightly on the back of mine for future generations.

At the moment I'm searching to see where a photo was taken of me, my little brother and others who are like my siblings. We are standing outside a 'rocket' in Eastbourne I think, me ... I am standing with my foot on the bottom step, the others are standing inside (the door is opened behind me). It cost 6d to open it, have looked at Francis Frith photos yet have no idea where the photo was taken, of course, we may have visited Bexhill or Bournemouth yet I'm sure it's Eastbourne. xxx

Sue I have 649 names on my tree so far and have many more to go on it.I keep going through them and checking now I have the 1911 census it gives me more information.

What sort of a rocket is it ? you s aid standing outside it. so I am wondering what the Rocket is ? is it a place or a model. must be a problem when you have no idea where it was taken.

I had one taken of me standing by a Spitfire and it took some time for me to recall where I was .I tried not to think then during the evening I recalled where it was so quickly wrote it down.

Hope you find out where it was taken.

but im stuck on one line at the mo!!
so ive asked on records coz i spent all day searching yesterday
& given up now!!!

Posh that Brenda never came back to me about my Horwoods. I have just sent off for four marriage certificates for the later ones 1940 onwards.so I can see who their fathers were on the spouse side.

who are you looking for then when you say you have got stuck.? I have been searching for five years for Grandfathers brothers and someone in DFHS emailed me and told me she thought she had found him and gave me details I followed it up and it was him in the RN now I have a photo of him as well so it pays not to give up.

I have the other one vanished no marriage. Death. service records no emigration either so I persume he didnt like using his name and used a different one.he was Ab salom Lee named after his father.that would complete myside of the family tree.
