Hi Patricia.....Brief Encounter is my VERY favourite oldie....seen it many times, I just love the way they all talk so precisely, with an almost affected voice, and the innocent times they were then, ..........in our so called premiscuous society today anything seems acceptable, but the way she wrestled with her conscience over her feelings for a man she barely knew, and had really simply just bumped in to and had lunch with, was beautifully portrayed............ the snooty woman at the station cafe, and the annoying friend who interupts their final good-bye.......all great characters...... such a wonderful film. |
