The man of La Mancha ... one of my all time favourite songs Tony, have it on my Diana Ross, The Supremes and Temptations album.

Goodness, shivers and tingles, although I've always loved and understood the lyrics, feel that for the first time ever I truly do.

Off to listen to your next one >>>>>>>>>

Jesus Christ, SuperStar, Michael Ball - Gethsemane

Just sat, didn't move ... was totally entranced. Have always loved his voice, the way emotions are written in his body language, face too when he sings.

Pity the child - from Chess

Gosh, profound ..., very quiet at the moment.

"Come to Me/Confrontation" Les Miz featuring JOJ

Oh Tony, tis so moving, am wiping tears from my eyes as I speak, oh gosh ... so beautifully acted, you could 'live' it as though it was real. Beautifully touching.

Ooo
As I walk this land of broken dreams
I have visions of many things
Happiness is just an illusion
Filled with sadness and confusion,
What becomes of the broken hearted
Who had love that's now departed?
I know I've got to find
Some kind of peace of mind
Maybe.
The fruits of love grow all around
But for me they come a tumblin' down.
Every day heartaches grow a little stronger
I can't stand this pain much longer
I walk in shadows
Searching for light
Cold and alone
No comfort in sight,
Hoping and praying for someone who cares
Always moving but goin' nowhere
What becomes of the broken hearted
Who had love that's now departed?
I know I've got to find
Some kind of peace of mind
Help me.
I'm searching though I don't succeed,
Someone's love, there's a growing need.
All is lost, there's no place for beginning,
All that's left is an unhappy ending.
Now what becomes of the broken-hearted
Who had love that's now departed?
I know I've got to find
Some kind of peace of mind
I'll be searching everywhere
Just to find someone to care.
I'll be looking everyday
I know I've gotta find a way
Nothings gonna stop me now
I'll find a way somehow
I'll be searching everywhere
I know I've gotta find a way
I'll be looking everyday
I know I've gotta find a way
Nothings gonna stop me now
I'll find a way somehow
What becomes of the broken hearted
Who had love that's now departed?
Nothings gonna stop me now
I'll find a way somehow

Huia Report 1 Jan 2009 18:23

Shimms, I had a look at Youtube a week or 2 ago but it took an age to load a piece so havent been back.

I was wandering around a shop after Christmas and saw a CD by Katherine Jenkins, half price, so I bought it. I have possibly heard her sing on the radio before, but not know who it was. Yes, she has a glorious voice.

I bought (through our choir) a DVD or our choir singing in the Auckland Town Hall last June, 'The Armed Man'. I havent watched it yet, I dont have a DVD player and am not sure if I can use it in my (old) computer. Son gave me a CD/DVD burner for Christmas but didnt instal it so will have to sort that out sometime.

Huia.

'The Armed Man' is by Karl Jenkins. I wonder if he is related to Katherine?

No, Katherines father was Selwyn. Perhaps Karl is an uncle or cousin. Or some such.

Huiainsummertime, oh how I am luvin your name ... am reminded of white sandy beaches, azure blue seas, palm trees ... tis beautiful. Exotic flowers too. :)

Am so sorry about Youtube. When it works tis fabulous, yet I have tried continuously this evening to pull up the links to Hallelujah by my favourite singers to no avail. Strange, it was fine earlier when I was listening to Tony's choices ... perhaps it's busy today.

Oh Huia, I am just pleased you like KJ's voice, am sure you should be able to play it in your old computer, I could.
Am sure Tony or someonelse here will know, I have Realtek Player, Media Player and more, just load my CD's in and they play.

I think a CD/DVD Burner is when you have blank CD's, DVD's, download music and more onto them. Not sure, probably totally wrong lol! :)

I adore KJ singing Le Amore Sei Tu, Secret Love, all to be honest. :)

A DVD of your choir singing in the Auckland Town Hall last June, 'The Armed Man', a moment I feel to sit in the evening, perhaps a nice glass of something to drink, chill and enjoy. How wonderful, would love to hear it too.

Not sure as to whether Karl Jenkins is related to KJ, could be, an intriguing thought. Had hoped to send you a link to BBCi Player, Katherine Jenkins in Neath (tis where she was born) ... am sad, tis no longer available as the 7 days are up. Hey ho, perhaps another time.

Off to google, see what I can find out about Karl Jenkins. :)

Am so luvin it here, truly I am ... making such lovely new friends too, thank you everyone. :) xxx

Listening to Hallelujah at the moment by my favourite singers, all ... how can I put it, ... think the best way is to just say tis profound, they understand the lyrics, leaves me serene and calm.
