Do you believe in a psychic if they do get good results.

If I could find one, yes I would believe.
NP at all. But I would want them to give ME good results, not hear about what they have done for other people :-)

oh, absolutely. I most certainly can.

Given the opportunity to make my own mind up on the evidence presented to me.....and the judicious application of common sense and a little knowledge!

fair thing to say, no where to critisize on that,, but if you are prepared to believe that a pyschic is real in what they present, how can you say no to ghost or spirit, is that not where a pyschic gets the message from?

When a psychic shows me that they are getting messages from the dead, I will believe.

I cant see that ghosts are anything to do with spirits....and I dont think that even mediums (apart from the television ones that can be totally dismissed with safety) suggest that the popular concept of ghosts have anything to do with what they are doing....

If a tree falls in the forest and no one was there to see it fall, did it make a sound?

There are scientific ways to test that theory :-)

that is what I am saying, you disguard ghost because you personaly have not witnessed,
forget science, but are prepared to say yes to psychic even though you say you have not seen a good one yet.

Arch, I don't see why there can't be life from other planets zooming around here, we are just about to step onto Mars because we are still learning about space travel, why is it not possible for life to have begun long long before us somewhere else and have mastered space travel beyond the speed of light.

Its the balance of probabilities with me, and the application of common sense.

I am prepared to accept there is some form of afterlife....for many reasons. The concept is not totally unworkeable.

However, the concept of a disembodied spirit floating around the same spot for an eternity purely to frighten people.....lol....even with the best will in the world and the suspension of 95% of common sense....I mean. And I have been in situations hundreds, if not thousands of times where if there was a haunting I should have experienced something - but zilch, nothing, nada, not even a raising of the neck hairs!

So - balance of probabilities..spirits..maybe..ghosts...no way!

Please let me get one thing clear,
I am not attempting to cause argument,
I am only asking questions, I am not disputing your beliefs, that would be wrong, I ask because I am an inquizitive person, that is how I learn,
I don't throw out the window the thoughts of others and don't believe it is fair that others should either.,
what you see as right is wrong to someone else and what someone else sees as right should not be seen as wrong by others unless the absolute fact can be shown.

There is no physical scientific evidence for either...so it comes down to personal beliefs in the final analysis

Well its like this doc, we are the only planet in our solar system with advance life, do you agree? the nearest star is approx 4 light years away, if by chance there is a planet that orbits it that has advance life, it would take thousands of years to travell between us, also i have heard that to get so advanced that interstella travell is posible, our sun like all others would had died. and all life form with it

I have an old photo here at home, it does show a clear face behind a man standing close to if not leaning against a mantle above a fireplace, there is no way anyone could be standing behind the real person in the photo, but there is a clear face there.

My wife and I went to a gathereing in a hall with a medium, as she began her talks up on the stage my wife dropped her head below the back of the seat in front and hid her face all through the show, she was shaking, she later told me she saw grey figures walking around the stage.....

I did not see it, but I will not dispute what she said she saw.

Arch, only 1000's of yrs according to what we know today, before we put rockets up there now at near 20,000 mph, our greatest speeds where but a couple hundred mph, we have advanced in our time,
why is it not a possiblity for far more advanced life to have achieved far greater?
This is what I am trying to put across,
just because we have not seen personally, does it mean it isn't so?
