Shimmering--so glad you feel you have justice, well done!!
But what are we all going to do to prevent this situation arising again?

Bless, thanks GI!

'Me in C' thanks hun. That was my thought - leave thread running to help people, once everyone knows we've won (only fair as they've been so wonderful), I can remove the 'We've won bit'? That way, anyone needing help will know where to go.

As for the 'real' world - this is not the first time we've met it and there must be thousands of people out there hurting because their loved ones are being abused, neglected ...

Anyone got thoughts? All thoughts valued.

Not been 'on air' looking at other threads than my usual, so missed all your troubles Shani.
Have just read thread right through - afraid it rings just too many bells. I worked in Care for many years, and so has one of my daughters, who still does. It is just amazing what people will get away with.
When I was quite young I was on nights with a very scarey woman, who was well known for being a neighbourhood troublemaker. We had a lady who was very heavy and we were only supposed to use the hoist and with two of us. I was with another old lady, and I heard the scarey woman go into the next room. She dragged the heavy lady, who fell and broke her hip. I was told not to 'talk, if I knew what was good for me' The scarey Carer reported that the old lady had tried to get out of bed on her own. I knew it wasn't true, but am ashamed to say I kept quiet. I was young, I would not do it now, but her kids went to the same school as my kids.................
My daughter and I have seen many things, old people having soup put in front of them, then taken away, with the words, 'oh didn't you want that' when the person could not hold a spoon steady, or even see the bowl. Old people with memory loss, they just wanted to talk about a loved husband/wife who had died years back. Of course they did not remember this. Instead of letting them talk, carers would constantly remind them their loved one was dead, and so they cried and mourned them all over again. General roughness when handling, thinking that they were 'awkward on purpose', shouting, lack of respect, calling everyone 'Granny' even when they were a spinster, you could go on for ever.

Marilyn
Everyone in the above postings is right, you/we have to complain and complain and complain............. you can film things now on mobile 'phones and get evidence that way. Go to the local papers,.......... that makes them sit up and take notice.
((((((((((((((Hugs to you all))))))))))))))))))
and specially strengthening thoughts to Shani and Marilyn and your families.

Moy, Joan ((((hugs)))) thnx hun!

Eileen,

Thanks hun.((hug))

thank you so so much for sharing, must have been hard to.

We all do things when we're young, I believe that when you make a mistake (and who hasn't), you learn from it - you have. I feel sure there must be many today in same situation. (((hug))) You had no control over what happened, you were being bullied hun.

Thanks for advice for Marilyn. Must be similar to POVA for mental health care, everyone answers to someone.

Marilyn, we're here for you hun.

Luvsyall. ((((hugs)))) xxx

Just can't get my head around it - why, why would anyone treat another like this. Just want to pick them all up, take them somewhere safe where it will never happen again.

Crying - this thread is gonna keep running and running and running ....
