i was going to bed, but how does he know so much, there is no way, my oh says that its all fixed and he saw a programme about it, if they say certain things, its bound to be right to match for someone, but i cannt see how that can be so.

i think everyone is divided on this subject may be its one that should never be discussed as my nan would say. lol

ANdie, its a personal thing.

We all have different beliefs and it doesnt make any of us right or the other wrong.

I certainly would never criticise anyone for believing in a particular thing, as I would not expect to be criticised for NOT believing sometihng.

But I think if someone is making a business or a lot of money out of something, it is acceptable to challenge what they are doing.

Well for what it's worth i don't belive you either. You say you don't know about such stuff when you do. You say you have no clue how this sort of thing works when you do. This thread is just your way of getting others to talk of subject not many are willing to talk about while being safe in the knowedge that you know all about it.

yes it does make sense.. i just feel that for some people they really want to be connected with those who have passed on.

i dont like to think they are taken for a ride,

and i suppose people do give mor info and that does give these people something to use.

i just try to have an open mind, but people have been making money out of this sort of thing for years.

I bet this thread has been quite interesting but it's too long for me to read. To answer the question though - yes I personally feel certain that some mediums have a genuine gift. Mia Dolan is a well known medium who I have a lot of faith in. There are also some who might have a gift but don't know how to use it properly and there are also a lot of fakes who exploit people's vulnerability to make cash.

I have no time for ghost hunts or the telly programmes that have mediums and so on - I think it's very wrong.

andie thats fine if thats what you believe but in a debate both sides are intitled to say there bit and i do not believe and if that upsets someone I'm sorry but I am intitaled to my opinion ;))
