Like I say Heather, I'm not objecting to your thread, please don't think I am. Just wish that all the same people would sign Gillian's petition.

I also thought it was a sick hoax at first but if you google there are too many entries - and also the Wikipedia and You Tube cover it. I hope to god it isnt a hoax as that would be too awful to contemplate. But I believe it to be genuine as people I know involved in dog rescue have confirmed to me.

Exactly Tina - I cant understand what Peter feels is so objectionable in this thread but appears to be quite happy for kids to read any of the others.

Maggy, totally understand. And we must all stand up and be counted in ALL these matters - burying your head in the sand doesnt make bad things go away.

OK.

I was just concerned that children might access in appropriate sites as a result of reading this.

It is not that I disagree with the sentiment, just that this is not the forum.

I have signed it!
Its just too awful for words.

I signed yesterday --still got my original email if anyone wants to contact me to forward it,not pleasant though!

Heather Report 13 Apr 2008 18:35

But Peter by having that link removed you have now almost certainly increased the chance of someone googling the name and seeing the horrific photographic evidence.

I dont understand your objection when there are threads on here referring to cocaine overdoses and suicide and many different things which children could also google. Get a stiffer upper lip man - its people turning away that have allowed the horrors of the world to continue.

I was under the belief GR members had to be a certain age. If there are children accessing this site, it is up to their parents - we're not the moral guardians of other people's children!!

The age is supposedly 18 Maggie.

Heather,I dont think you have done anything wrong.
We live In a cruel world with cruel people, both to Animals and humans.

It needs to be addressed.

I have just looked, the age limit for this site is 16, so anyone under that age should not be looking on here anyway.

Heather

Heather Report 13 Apr 2008 18:40

Thanks Rox. Ive never been able to hide from the distasteful - I have to stand up and be counted. Im glad most of you feel the same.

Heather

Heather Report 13 Apr 2008 18:42

Ah thats right Maggy, some years ago they reduced it from 18 after one particular person was banned from being too young and we protested because she was a particular mature person anyway - just shows you Peter - the power of protest, eh?

Was about to add that membership age here is supposed to be 18 but I know my 2 eldest daughters (nearly 18 & nearly 17) have trees on here. They would be very likely to go sign the petition and I will tell them now about this.

They would be more upset if they were to read some of the petty agrumants that occur on this board as they would consider people on here adults.................

Oh and also most teenagers are subjected to much worse behaviour in real life anyway....

Well done Heather for raising this topic.

love Theresa

The age is 16. However, I believe parents can register for their children, if they are under 16, might be wrong on that bit. If its true though then it's up to the parents to monitor their childrens useage of the internet, IMO.

I you google the name of this 'artist' and scroll, there are lots of different petitons to sign, on the first 3 pages alone, all objecting to what he has done and intends doing again!! So if you can't access one - go to another.
The dog was beautiful too. I looked at some of the images - and a starving dog just lies down and dies, he didn't have enough energy to stand and display his pain.

I have to go now people, got my own rescue dogs to sort out :) but thank you so very much for your support, god bless you all for having the soul to want to stop sadism mascarading as "art".

As for Peter, well, thank God most people in the world arent like you and will stand up against evil however distasteful.
