Thanks TW - have managed to log on and see it fantastic.

Hi Mrs Happy - have stayed in Morwenstowe lots of times - just up the road from you and know how the weather can change with the click of the fingers. Keep safe!

The image from Satelite is updated every hour, if you read the bottom of the page. My image is stuck on 1800.

I doubt it will update any more tonight, but if you look on the Satellite IR tab, you will see infra-red images through the night, updated hourly.

Have I got the right page?
I thought the image is updated every 20 mins.

Yes, I must have the right page, I just re read the bottom bit and see my mistake. it sure is fascinating.
Just saw on the news, that the whole of the Devon and Cornwall coast is going to be hit pretty bad. I have an Aunt and Uncle on the north coast of Devon. I do hope they will be ok.

Switched to the Satellite IR now, it's just hit the Welsh coast.

Wouldn't like to be on the Holyhead-Dublin ferry right now...

TW I have been on that ferry in a very heavy storm- the ferry was going up and down like toy in the bath and the waves washing over the front of the bow - will never forget it -was a bit scary. Also had never seen the bar empty so fast!!! LOL I was sitting in my seat and it was sliding across the carpet -not very far but was moving nontheless and I am no lightweight I can tell you. LOL (we were taking my husband's aunt back over to Ireland - she in her coffin below decks!

I would be surprised if they have got them sailing.

Hi TW :)

Fingers crossed. Kids eh, they are certainly a worry sometimes, mind you they are big enough to make their own decisions now. I have been caught up in gusty winds that way myself before now, its not a trip I would fancy if that wind starts to blow hard.

Teresa, I'm not very good on cloud formation. You know the swirl going from the bulk of the cloud upwards and to the left. Then there is no cloud just below the swirl?? Is that the 'Eye of the storm'?

No tittering between you all please. I am trying to learn.

Jenny.

I'd hazard a guess that it is Mommy, the swirl does seem to have a centre doesn't it. It has only developed over the last three hours too...

We are much further up the West coast, Will and I have just been for a walk and the sky is beautiful, clear moon and stars and cold.

Stay safe everyone,
