Hope they keep away from Norwich then cos went by my house today and lots of roof tiles askew, don't want further damage before I can get it fixed. No doubt builders will be charging extra, taking advantage of the desperate people phoning in!
Just don't want water getting in the house, last thing I need at the mo.

Ah, yes, but............ we've had no probs in South Yorks...................yet! Pasted this from Met Office site:-

This time the focus is further north than on Monday. The strongest winds are expected to reach Northern Ireland during Tuesday evening, and then transfer across parts of southwest Scotland, northern England, north Wales and the Midlands during Wednesday.

Gusts of 60 to 70 mph are expected with the possibility of 80 mph gusts on exposed coasts and hills.

Absolutely chucking it down here on the Sussex coast and really gusty, but no more than we have had before.

A few fence panels are down in the road, but that's not unusual either.

Hmmmm did I sleep through it? Ive looked at Sat pic and its over most of UK.

I Slept like a log and my wall is still standing. Garden is pretty much how I left it and we have patches of blue sky and wind dosent look heavier than normal judging by the trees.

Everyone else ok?

Spoke too soon Liz LOL

Getting blustery here now, we're expecting the worst this afternoon, but hopefully it might have blown itself out..

(having said that, a strong gust has just rattled the bay window, worried about that, because the frame is rotten and we're not getting it replace until summer.....oooeeerrr)

Good news Maddie Moo, the wall and car hassle means nothing compared to the worry of him travelling through bad weather I bet.

Stay safe, everyone, quiet and peaceful in Norwich at the mo.

Jennie, you would be quite welcome to stay at my caravan, it has 3 bedrooms. I am waiting to sign contracts for a 2 bed maisonette here in Borth before 20 March this year so am no longer staying in my caravan. Hopefully I will not have to move back in there when I leave here middle of April.
Have been at Brynowen since 1994 and did stay here when I was a teenager, year 196....... Somethings have changed. More fruit machines etc.
Take care. Christine
