Thanks Paul, Rita married a Roger and had 2 girls Debbie and Donna, She divorced him or vice versa and she married Bruce mcnally and emergrated to America about 20 years ago.

Now... this means that Anthony couldn't have been born in the 1940's because there isn't enough time either side of Rita's birth. So.... either we look in the 1950's or (ahem!) prior to Daphne's marriage.

It may be possible to find the marriage of Daphne's parents, Mr Knowles and Miss Smith, but it will be a bit of a struggle without more info. People with Downs don't usually have a long lifespan. Are you sure that you have the right person? There's no death of an Elaine Knowles in Kent between 1984 and 2005. If you go to the Search Records section in the green panel on the left, you can key in Winifred Smith 1909, born in Kent. Up will come the names of four people: Michael, Brenda, Jonothan and Glyn. They all have her in their trees. If you click on to each of their names you cand send them a message. I suggest that before you press your button to send the first, you copy the text of what you have written so you can send an identical e-mail to each.

Thats them, winifred and gilbert, my aunt could only remember thier names and places she couldn`t remember exact dates, Elaine was definately winifreds daughter maybe born in 1954 because she was only 6 months or so younger/older than my dad.

And Elaine was my Great nan`s birthday and not her sister i am sorry, Also could you possibly do a search on my mother diane pauline fletcher, born in devon, around 1957ish she`ll be in her late 40`s early 50`s i think, haven`t been in contact with her for at least 18 years

There's an Elaine Knowles born Folkestone 1935 on GR - can I suggest you do a search on here?
