As some of you will know on occasions i post information on obtaining photographs of headstones for military personnel who died in both World Wars, both a free site and one where you have to pay. |

George it was from the Free Site. i did look on the pay site and put his name in search but it didnt find him , Found 3 with similar names ie not the right second christian name but not the one i would like . |

You are right George - a brilliant result. I have ordered a hard copy as I figured it would be much better quality than I could print from a home printer - especially as the person who took this particular photo won the Professional Photographer of the Year award in 2009 which is a bit of a bonus. |

I would echo Shelley's post about CWGC stones in your local area. I took photos of a small group of stones of airmen killed in a Lancaster crash and submitted them to the TWGPP, together with a photo of the church. They might have been missed by other volunteers as they are in a country churchyard. |

Just wanted to say another "thank you" to George. I received the photos from the TWGPP this morning and I'm very pleased with them indeed. Although they had warned that the memorial in Iraq had been moved and damaged in recent fighting and that some of the plaques were damaged, luckily my great uncle's name is on an undamaged part of the plaque. |
