Thank you so very much Eringobragh, you've been incredibly helpful. The witnesses to Luis and Ester's marriage just gave E. Bellew and Mary Douglas. I also feel that I should investigate the parents of Anne Farrell baptised in Kells, Co. Meath, on the 4 June 1837. The coincidence of her parents names being William Farrell and Judith Bellew is too tempting to ignore don't you think? |

Unfortunately not., only Aglish RC Parish. Am I correct in thinking that if I could identify the Church then the records from there would give an address? The Elham Farrells didn't feel right because of their home counties, apart from Lewis who had the same name and Roscommon is an adjoining County to Mayo. I put his name and year of birth into roots ireland but when I included surnames of mother and father got the response no records. I also found on roots the birth of another Mayo Farrell to William Farrell and Judith Bellew so have little doubt that these were probably the brother and sister of Luis and Ester wouldn't you say? Am now (fairly) sure that I have the right couple in Luis and Ester because the sponsors at Robert's baptism in 1845 (i.e. Williams brother) both had the surname Russel. Sarah Russel/Rozzell was the person that William (1841) had three illegitimate children with in England. Again that would be a very strange coincidence, especially as it appears to be one of the less common irish surnames. |

This exciting journey feels like a trip around a maze! I manage the difficulty of Finding Luis and Ester through creative spelling but still can't find the Elham/ Eltham Farrells on GR. What am I doing wrong? I keep getting the response - no record. |
