Can anyone tell me if it is possible to search for a Death with the persons occupation being a "checking point" |

I did think the GRO wer`nt allowing the use of checking points anymore, I`m sure someone else on here will be able to confirm if thats true. |

No, you can't search yourself using occupation as a checking point and Nicky is correct in saying that the GRO won't do checking points any more. |

The trouble with occupations is that they could so easily change, especially in unskilled people. |

Do you have any idea of when the person died and in which area? Do you know when they were born so that age at death can be checked in the index? |

What date are we talking about? Is it long enough ago for them to be on a census together? When was the son's marriage? |
