I am doing a mini one name study of my Uncle's family who lived in Hingham in the 1800. A number were to be found at Hall Moor. |

Hall Moor Road is quiet a long road out of the village, I dare say the few cottages etc would have been known just by the names of the people living there. It is still a very rural area. |

Just a possibility. |

The 1901 image is clearly Rhoda Robinson. |

I guess Roberson could be mistaken for Robinson if the enumerator didnt hear correctly. Its just strange that a William Bailey has a daughter called Rhoda in 1881 and is living at the correct area in 1901with a wife born in the same area |

The Rhoda Robinson on 1901 has husband Thomas and two children (Florrie & Rhoda) were born in Camberwell - so that seems like the right marriage that QuinsGran found above. |

So we need to find Rhoda in 1891 |

1911 Rhoda Robinson (born Hingham) is a widow living in Lambeth (no other Robinsons in the household): |

Jasper will have to look for the missing Robinson children in 1911 to see if they are in care |

Yes I have read the thread, and agree that it is quite a coincidence. What you say could well be correct, but it would mean that not only was the surname mistranscribed but also the details of the mother were incorrectly entered (as it should have read "Rhoda Robinson, formerly Bailey" - even if her husband Thomas had subsequently died and was not the father of the child). Of course such errors and omissions do occur, but also so do coincidences (especially with common names such as Robinson) - so I think that Jasper would need further proof in this case. |

Thank you for all your comments.I also thought it was a coincidence to find the imfomants name in the same rd and she had a daughter named Rhoda. There is no other name on certificate I'll keep looking |
