In fact her branch goes back to Roger Measham about 1445. If you would like me to forward the emails to you I can if you pm you addy. Also the newspaper article which is interesting reading. |

Ha!! you said Richards..not Richard..which Richard??? the ealiest measham i have found so far is GILBERT Measham who married Sarah Richardson 24.06.1695......send me anything you like. |

Hi Derek, just by way of a change of family LOL. Can you find out the surname of Dorothy who married Thomas Meakin. Thomas was born 1722 in Repton. Going by another tree I have viewed they may have married 1743. Also looking for Thomas' death please. I have Dorothy's death as 1787 in Repton can you please check this for me. |

Sorry to jump in, but I have relatives that hailed from Lancashire named Dobson as well. They up and moved to Australia, so that may be one reason that yours are missing on the censuses. |

Hello janet.......this is not easy....George Allsop is a very common name in Derbyshire...plus the variation of Allsop Allsop Alsop seems to be very arbitrary...........however...here is what i have got. |

Hi Red..sorry i missed you,,and also sorry becasue the Bakewell Parish records only go as far as 1860........the more modern records are still usually held by the Church..and not passed on to records office's till they choose.......There may be a disc including your dates..but I rather doubt it..I am going to Matlock Records Office within the next week, and I'll check for you. |
