I want to obtain a copy death cert for Mary Greenhalgh who died on 13/12/1843 in Little Lever, Bolton, Lancs. Her husband was Ellis Greenhalgh
There are 4 possibilities;

Having real trouble finding your Devine folks anywhere other than 1881 census.
You may need to buy at least 1 birth cert to find out parents names.
Will have another scout around tomorrow.

Not easy to locate Maria Morley b 1845/6 Nottingham.
Do you know her father's name,will be on her marriage cert if you have it.

Morley seems to be a common name in and around Nottingham and there are several possibles.

Morley is her maiden name I take it?

I'm afraid I don't know Maria's parents names and don't have her marriage certificate (Morley is her maiden name). The only other information I can give is that she will most likely be resident in Notts, though I know that's not much help either.

Don't worry about it if there's too many to narrow it down! I don't need it desperately or anything. Thank you for taking the time to try anyway!

This maybe a big ask with only a little information. Could you find Elizabeth NIXON. She was born in 1865 in Buninyong, Victoria,Australia (this is near Mt Clear/ Ballarat area). According to oral history she went to England (lived in London area ) & married the ships photographer. Are you able to search the census with only a first name & place of birth ,using occupation of husband as Photographer?

Thanks for looking for Elizabeth Nixon. The Elizabeth you found as Elizabeth Evans is not the correct one. I could find no birth in VIC for the daughter Louisa Evans,with parents Arthur & Elizabeth,so I think that they must have put ditto under her mothers name.

also an 1841census lookup for Thomas Ward born 1766 Norfolk (but not the census with the Thomas at great Bircham as he was born there and my Thomas was born at East Bilney)

Hi Mary,

Many thanks for the lookup, however not sure if this is my John Westlake. In 1891 he was living at home with his mum Elizabeth Risden Westlake (2nd wife of Francis Joseph Gerrard) aged 34, living at Plough Inn, 9 Fore Street, Torrington, Devon with her husband James Westlake aged 40 years and daughters Amy 11years, John 10yrs,Mabel 5yrs and Florence 3 years. RG12/1785/40/29

All the children in 1891 were recorded as being born Grt Torrington Devon
