Mhairi,
Thank you so much - my wife has asked me to say thanks too as it is for her family tree. Sadly, this July, we attended the funeral in Edinburgh of the informant you found - E B Rennie (who's my wife's aunt).
Your kindness is much appreciated. Kind Regards Carl

I thought i'd add this
www.thesft.moonfruit.com
If you have Scottish ancestors, the above website (a taster website really), is a great place to be.
Come and join the forum, there are a very friendly bunch of people just waiting to help...the forum is free as well :) Great news for anyone with Scots blood running through their veins :p
Before anyone asks, i dont own it/run it. I am a member (with a less glamorous title) and just think its a great site. I know plenty of people who'll agree with me.

Have just been looking at form su 3 to order certificates - how do the numbers you gave fit in to the form? There are spaces for RD number, year and entry number.

Mhari,
Those two look like what I needed. Did you manage to note the parents (I have assumed because you haven't said otherwise, that they were those I expected as per my request, but just wanted to be sure)?
Thanks again for all your help.

Welcome back. Trying to find the deaths of Martin Coleman, born 1868 Perth. He married Julia Murray (nee Hinks) in Leith in 1895. Would like to know what became of her. Thank you for your help.

Kerry i didnt see your reply until just now. Techincally the thread was closed when you added to it but i'll be going again. Watch out for the thread at the end of the month.
To everyone who asked, my little cousin was fine. Actually he behaved better than he usually does so he must have been sick. I hate looking after people who are vomiting though, i just cant stand it. Yuck!
He is blond, blue eyed with these really big eye lashes and looks as if butter wouldnt melt in his mouth...huh! All i can say is that looks can be deceptive. He also has an attitude that resembles a teenagers...oh and yesterday he told me i smelt funny...lovely child!
Anywho, thanks for being patient! Mhairi

The first letter is a F. So i think it might be Founes? Perhaps?
I would have loved to have printed of the cert for you but restrictions apply and you can only print out births up to 1906. If you wanted a copy you would have to get in touch with the GROS or your local records office. The birth was on the 16th of May 1914.

I looked for the birth of a child but couldnt see one in the area where Annie died and there where too many to search through. Hopefully, in the future, they will up date their databases and you'll be able to see the mothers maiden name as well. They already have it for post 1930 births and it cuts searching time.

Way too many Mary's to search through and i couldnt find them in the census (1891 and 1901) to help narrow down the areas incase she was born pre 1901.

Hi Mhairi
If you haven't got too many requests already, would you be able to please check for the death certificates of my grandparents and their son?
I'd love to go myself but I live quite far from home now and there's very little chance of me ever being back to check.
Edward Cairns Munro - DoB 04/01/1920 - born Queensferry - parents William Munro & Beatrice Cairns - died approx April 2000 in Lochgelly - not sure on cause of death - he was a widower at the time as my grandmother (below) died before him
Christina McAngus Sutherland - married name Munro - DoB 29/09/1921 - born Crossgates, Dunfermline - parents David Sutherland and Margaret McAngus - died approx 1998 in Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy - had stomach cancer so cause of death related
They were married on 01/02/1951 in Dunfermline, though I don't suppose that is relevant for the search. My mother (Christina McAngus Sutherland Munro - married name Robson, other names Davis) might have been the person listed as notifying of the death on my grandmothers certificate.
Son is David and I have very little info about him except that he was born in the early 1950's, was killed in an accident when a pallet fell off the back of a lorry and crushed him, he was a teenager at the time and he lived in North Street, Lochgelly when it occurred.
Would be so much easier if you could get these certificates online but I guess they're too recent :(
Thank you in advance for your help
PS - hope your little cousin is better :)
