Hi Linda Many thanks didn't know how big it was. Would have liked 1841 census, but that is probabley unlikely. I know James was living with grandparents in 1851, in Newcastle, but wonder if his parents where still living in Gateshead unfortunately have no idea of ages only that they would probably be 38 yrs or older. James was an Iron Moulder, so do not know if that was his father Richard Renwick's profession as well, his mother's parents where 64 yrs old in 1851 so would think her age between 38 and 45, and probably born Newcastle. Sorry I have no more information, not sure if 1851 census is alphabetical, if not I realise this would be hopeless task. Many thanks though it is through peole like yourself I have got as far as I have with my other research. Maureen

Hi Linda, I am looking for my Wilkinson family in Co. Durham, in particular Jane Hannah Wilkinson, born 1835 in Houghton Le Spring. I have her on 1841 & 51 censuses living in Houghton Le Spring with the family. She gave birth to Henry, b. 1859 Cassop, Co. Durham,(father unknown!!), but can't find her on any other census. I don't know if she married at all, or even when she died. Also, can you find, in 1871, William & Eleanor Wilkinson and family in Gateshead. I think they might be living Lodge Street area of Gateshead. They were there in 1881. Any help/assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks, Marcus.

Thanks Linda According to Robert the son's baptism registration his father was a shoemaker so that doesn't look like him. The family moved to South Shields/West Boldon at some point so it must have been before 1841. Thanks a lot Andrea
