Hi there I am just starting out and am looking for information about the following: Eli Abbotts b. 1860 train driver in Darlaston West Midlands. he is listed in 1901 as an engine driver. I'd really like to know the name of his wife and a full list of his children. I have Sidney c 1900 Harold, Pemmie ? Norman, Ernest and Arthur based on my grandmother's memory. I know nothing about Eli's parents Also from my grandmother's side Alfred Walters I'm guessing born c 1855, he had children Harry, Lizzie, Nellie, John, Florrie, Emma and Alfred. I don't know the name of his wife or if this is a complete list of children. They were from the Wolverhampton - Tipton area of the West Midlands. I have no idea of his occupation. Harry Walters his son married Alice Price. They had 2 children Hilda c 1903and Harry c 1897. Again I know very little other than this. I'd appreciate anything you can find Helen

Hi Jane, Could you look up the following please in 1851: Samuel Govier born 1837 in Bideford/Parkham, Devon No one has ever found my Samuel Govier he is impossible to find, so if you want to knock down a brick wall this is perfect. Govier can be spelt Govyear, Goveyour etc. Robert Marshall born 1785 in North Shields, Northumberland his wife Ann Marshall born 1791 in North Shields, Northumberland and their daughter Margaret Marshall born 1829 in Tynemouth, Northumberland. Many thanks, I will look into Samuel because I have found a Samuel Glover before and discarded him because it wasn't the right person as he married someone else. This Samuel Govier has been so hard to find because all I know is that his father was called James Govier a Ag Lab and had died by 1867. Hi Jane, I'm a real pain!!! I have them in 1861 onwards. In 1861 they were living next door to Margaret's parents Robert and Ann Marshall, at a place called Brewery Bank, North Shields. George was born in Kent in 1827. They had their first child in 1851 called Robert Brett born in North Shields. If you want you can look up Margaret's death for me please, because by 1871 George had moved back down to Kent and married someone else and there is no sign of Margaret and I cannot find her death.
