Hi all! I would like any information on John William Wright (born 1860) married to Ellen Gertrude Wright (born 1867) - Uxbridge. Now in Hillingdon/Uxbridge Cemetry. Adopted my father in 1931 - Kenneth Sidney (natural mothers name Ivy Zanita Bound) - one of several children adopted. Many thanks Maggie (nee Wright)

Thanks for all that. From snippets I picked up from my mother (her niece) I am pretty sure all the information listed is correct. However I have never heard of the child Kenneth although given the time line (1st World War) and the fact I found him in the voters list in 1938 and the fact Ivy gave his adopted mother (shown as Aunt) as next of kin on some travel documents there appears to be a connection.. The change of name is a mystery (although I had heard about that) I wonder of it was the fathers name who maybe died in war. I am fairly certain that she visited my Grandfather (her brother) sometime after the 2nd World War
Another thing I cant find is any information between the census in 1901 and 1928 when she a[[ears on a transatlantic crossing although I note that her mother died about that time so maybe she went to live with an aunt ?
