I don't see Kenneth Sidney Wright in 1939 under Wright or Brown.


A Kenneth Sidney Brown is in Islington (a police officer) in 1939, but that's NOT him.
DOB 12/1/1916. Mother's name Webb. Married Clementina Lilian Maud Rolfe in 1940, and died in 1951.

This child born in Wales - but maybe ?? Could Kenneth Sidney really have been John Henry, and moved back to Wales in 1938-39 ??
Seems highly unikely, I admit. But there is the matter of the added middle name Bennett.

Thanks for all the replies most of which I have already found. I think the arithmetic is somewhat suspect however. The voting age in 1938 was 21 which means he would have been born about 1917 when my great aunt was 23 He would have been adopted at age 13/14 and for all we know may have been living with them for some time. The travel documents showing Helen Wright as Aunt and next of kin are on the 2nd page. You will note she was travelling on a diplomatic passport so her change of name must have been 'official' as I am sure she would have been vetted
