I am trying to find my fathers dad Henry W Howe. He married Daisy ethel stanley 1945 , Lambeth, they were not together long, my dad does not remember him. I would like to find my dads side of the family

Get the marriage certificate for his age and fathers age and start from there

The cert will show his second Christian name too

As Shirley says, Henry's marriage cert should be the starting point, for Henry's age and his father's name.

Order it from the GRO website.

You'll have to register with the site and log on, then click on "Place an Order", and follow the instructions, entering the details exactly as posted by Shirley at 06:05.

In case you're new to this (though I see you've been a GR member for a couple of years)-
1d is the volume number, and 243 is the page number.

There is also a little on the Coronation Buildings on line. Possibly not the greatest place to live.

This is 100% correct information but fining family related to them is difficult

As explained earlier, if you order a copy of the marriage certificate, it will tell you Henry's father's name (if Henry knew it).

You say, "I am so confused with all the numbers after the names".

If you mean the numbers after the names on the marriage record - as already explained, 1d is the volume number, and 243 is the page number.

If you follow the instructions about how to order the marriage cert (see my post on 17 June at 09:20), the GRO website will show you where you need to enter those numbers on your application.

You mention wanting to find family related to Henry and Daisy.
On 17 June at 06:26, Shirley posted the 1921 Census record for his parents and siblings, also an uncle.

At 06:20 on 17 June, Shirley posted the 1939 Register entry showing Henry with his sister Rose Grace Elizabeth Howe, his brother Benjamin Arthur Charles Howe, Benjamin's wife Rose Amelia (nee James), and one other person who was probably Benjamin and Rose's son Benjamin J Howe, who was born in 1938.

Yes my grandfather's family, I am sure he went on to re marry and had children..so my farther with have relatives

He was told that his father left before he was born.. my dad has never know amy of his das or mother's family.. I would love him to find a relative

A marriage certificate will give the names of both fathers, a birth certificate will give the names of both parents.

You were given some information about possible family. You can use the free bmd website to see if Benjamin & Rose had any other children and then see if those children married and had their own.
You can also use that site to see if the sister Rose also married.
