Unfortunately John Milton is a popular name and I think I've become a bit confused. So my Great great great grandmother is Delilah Milton( later Churchill). Its her father and mother and grandparents I'm trying to trace.
Delilah lived 1834-1931 ( nearly 100 years old!!)
I think her father is John Milton b in Dunster 1791 baptised 19.8.1792. He died in Huntspill where the family of 8 children were brought up in 1849 and buried 8.7.1849 in Huntspill.
I think his wife was Mary Edwards( not sure of her maiden name so would like confirmation) born 1801 possibly in Bristol. Died July 1849 in Huntspill.
They had 8 children...

May Lee 1828-1892..........despite the name this is a man!!!!

On Nov 17, 1846, at about the age of 23, Henry married Tamar Milton, also known as Jane Milton, born about 1825 in Huntspill, Somerset. Jane’s father, as listed on the marriage certificate, was John Milton. Her mother’s name is unknown. At about the age of 16, Jane was living at or near a boarding school in Huntspill, living with a 25-year old named Betsy Cousins and a boy named William Milton, whose age is also given as 15 at the time of the 1841 census. William may be Jane’s brother, but no records have been found to verify that assumption.

Over a period of eleven years from 1850 to 1861, Henry Vearncombe and his wife Jane (Tamar) Milton had 8 children (named below). The family lived in Bridgwater, Somerset. According to census records of 1861, Henry’s occupation was “hauler – iron man” and all of his children were living in 1861. On the 1871 census, Henry and Tamar are living with children Frances, Fanny and Emily.
