Would Arthur Pinney be on 1871 Census as he was born about 1860/1
On Ancestry it say William Pinney born 1833-1901
Eliza Wingrave 1833-1866

But I havnt any idea if that is right

Would any one be able to find Births or Marriages of Luton Bedfordshire please

Safc then posted a possible marriage of his mother Eliza Wingrave to William Pinner, and a possible baptism for Arthur as Pinner in 1864.

Here's his mother's possible subsequent marriage to Edward Harris:

However, I don't see Arthur's birth with mms Wingrave, nor his sisters Eliza and Harriet.

Yes, this will be Arthur's mother's first marriage:

And then she married Edward Harris in 1866.

The children were using the name Harris in 1871, but had reverted to their birth surname by 1881.


So either Harriet 1863 isn't Eliza's child, or else Eliza said her maiden name was Pinney/Pinner, or the registrar misunderstood.
