~the only baptism of a Daniel Pellatt c1786 that I can see is in Queenborough, Kent - nowhere near Devonport, but not far from Chatham.

There are a number of Pellatt Family Trees on Ancestry, most of which have probably taken from each other.
But a common thread seems to be Francis Pellatt married a Susannah Saltbrush 21 May 1778
Susannah is said to have been born in 1760 in West Thurrock, Essex, and died March 1828 (buried 4 March), Aveley, Essex.
Francis is said to have been born in 1750 in Wye, Kent, and died in 1827 Aveley.
I have found NO proof of these dates.

AG .............
I tried and tried to find those, and couldn't, but then Ancestry started acting up ("sorry, this page is not available"), so I gave up (and went for a nap!!)
They are assumptions .......... but the nearest I've come to finding anything.
There's quite a bit on Google for Fortunatus ....... his will, and various other bits of his life, if Valerie has not found them

Thanks everyone A few more gaps filled thanks to you all, also I'm trying to piece together what happened to the children after the death of Daniel. I found in the 1841 Census that 2 of the children Robert Atkinson age 15 and Charles Bradley age 9 were living with a Sarah Pellatt at Orchard Place Plumstead Kent It does not give the name of the husband, just says Male age 55. I know that the 3rd son Arthur died age 3 in 1832, just wonder what happened to the eldest son Daniel bapt 31/10/1822 who would have been about 10 at the time his father died. this family has got me hooked many thanks again Val

Valerie ..............
at that time and place, any child over the age of 10 would probably have been out at work, as servant, chimney-sweep or whatever, unless their parents had some money.
