Help, I have been searching and searching for my Aunty (my dads sister ) for ages. Found a few leads but then hit a brick wall. Her name was Valerie June Waterlow born in Doncaster in 1944. I believe thru the records she married and her surname changed changed to Waters. Living in Chelsea. Valerie might have gone on to marry again to ‘Jones’.... I’m so stuck and need help please

Have you checked it see if she had any children.

Also from the second marriage was she still of an age to have more children

And gives her birth as April 1944

She is the only birth coming up for waterlow / dent

So how is she your dad's sister

How certain are you, Lisa, about Valerie's second forename? Do you have her birth cert?

Hi, thanks for all you’re posts.... I shall set the record straight.
My nanna Mary King (maiden name) was married to Ernest Jones. He either died or they divorced. Mary then met Walter, they lived together but never married. Mary had a child to Ernest, Mavis Beryl Jones, she then went on to have two more children to Walter, Keith Waterlow (my dad) then Norma Waterlow. Mary and Walter split up. Walter then married Miriam Dent and Mary married Frank Bowater. Walter and Miriam had a child called Valerie June Waterlow. Miriam died in 1948 and not long after Walter died. Miriam’s sister (who’s name I don’t know) then raised Valerie. I think she owned the Rockingham pub in Doncaster. So that clears Valerie up.
As for my dad Keith, and Norma, they were raised by their mum and Frank. Now this is where all the names change cos Frank Bowater adopted my dad and Norma, so their names became BOWATER!!
The death record for Valerie isn’t her. Different name, different dates and she didn’t come back to Doncaster. I have checked all this. I did find 2 daughters of Valerie’s, Katherine Elizabeth Waters born 1976 and Joanna Claire Waters born 1974. Mothers maiden name Waterlow. Also on the electrol, Katherine Waters who had not married had her own house and the other occupant was Valerie J Waters.
I hope all this makes sense. I’ve come to a complete dead end now. I’ve looked at possible marriages for her daughters and found quite a few names who could of married Joanna. I’ve been on Facebook and messaged them all. No luck yet. There is another marriage for Valerie Waters to a ‘Jones’ but I can’t find anything out. Only that the marriage took place in Peterborough. My family tree on my dads side is a nightmare. Think my nanna married 3 times maybe 4...... I so need some help to find Valerie and/or her children. My dad is 83 and time is of the essence. Thank you all so much for looking for me. I’m touched that you have taken time from you’re lived to do this. If you’re wondering about my name, it was Lisa Bowater, I then married a Jeff Whittles and divorced him after 10 years and had my name changed to Lesa Waterlow. That really pleased my father. I then remarried to a Timothy Riordan, so now I’m Lesa Riordan. Yes I changed my first name spelling too. Anyway, if you can help anymore I’d appreciate it so much xxx
