After the great success of my last Indian query, thank you, I have another one for you!

I know that Dr John Marshall, superintending surgeon at Dinapore, had at least two daughters, Phoebe and Eliza Cecilia, who married two brothers William James Parker and George Parker (3rd and 4th Bt, [of Harburn] respectively)

I know that Phoebe "departed this life at Agra on the 30th June 1836, aged 25 years 7 months." but I'd love to know where and when she was born/bapt. I'd also be interested in a marriage date (other than the "1834" that I already have...).

As to Eliza Cecilia, I know she married George Parker on 24 Jan, 1838, as his first wife. But I don't have a location...? I know she bore him a son - George Law Marshall Parker (whose birth I have as 25 Sep 1840, and death as 15 Mar 1866 - can someone confirm, please). There were also two daughters and it would be nice to know who they were, when they were born, etc...

Going back to Dr John, I know his wife Elizabeth died "Feb. 25. At Digah, near Dinapore." If anyone can find her maiden name and birth place, I'd be grateful. I'd also be interested to know where and when he was born... 1780-ish I'd reckon; Scotland, perhaps...

A tree on Ancestry (owner : Richard Marshall) says that Phoebe was born c1810 in Bengal - but that seems to be a best guess.

The tree says she had another sister, Emma Marie, born 1 May 1816 • Dinapore, Bengal, India.
Emma's marriage:
26 Mar 1834 • Dinapore, Bengal, India, to Ambrose Cardew (1806–1837).
They had several children, born in India.
In 1851 they were living in Falmouth, Cornwall, and in 1871 in Morwenstow, Cornwall. 1881 & 1891 - in Falmouth.
Emma's death: 7 Feb 1901 • St Kew, Cornwall, England


Their mother:

Elizabeth Mary Law, born c1781, no place of birth given. Parents unknown.
No proof given that she's John's wife.

The tree says Dr John died 15 May 1850 in Falmouth, and says this is his death record:

Well, it was a nice theory re John, but NO.

I think they're two different families, one in Truro, one in Stratton.
Both have other children born in those places..

And that John 1781 must have died in infancy, as Digory and Elizabeth had another son John in Stratton in 1788.
