Find Ancestors

I wonder if anyone can find some information on Lilian Irene Ellam for me? I believe she was born on 22nd Feb 1905 according to her death certificate and her daughter knows she was born in Colchester.
I have found a Lilian Maud I Ellam birth at that time in Colchester but after that no records until she marries John Kenyon in Lancashire in 1935. Father is a Edward George Ellam deceased.
She had a son in 1927/28 called Sydney George Ellam who died in 1939 in Atherton Lancashire, he was disabled and lived in a home for a few years before he drowned in 1939. My friend believe she came to Lancashire when she was 25 so about 1930. Any help would be appreciated, my friend is 8-0 and would love to know more about her mother and if she had family as she never talked about them..

there are no other births in colchester loads of births in lancasher

Could this possibly be your Lilian Irene if Ellam was mistaken for Allen? She seems to be the daughter of Emily who is a housekeeper for Harry Davy. If he filled in the census form perhaps he didn't realize that her name was Ellam and not Allen?

I am beginning to wonder if there was an army connection and they moved about .

The Lillian could of just said she had come to Lancashire in 1929 she may be wanting to cover her tracks being an unmarried mother.

I have seen the name Davey on something today with a Lilian Irene, it may have been the 1911 census but i couldn't look at it fully as I don't have a subscription.

seems strange that there is only one birth 1905 till 1961 in colchester and only one death 1902 till 1955 could they be related

could edward who died in 1902 be lililians grandfather her mother was not married when she was born so no fathers name what was lillian's mother's christian name
