	GOURLAY LIZZIE F 1894 564/2 68 Greenock West View image (6 credits) Not seeing an obvious marriage for her parents. You need to pay to view her birth registration to find the date and place of their marriage. Sorry I have no spare credits left to look at it.

	From the 1914 marriage certificate, Elizabeth gives her parents as Hugh, a shoemaker and Jeanie ms Rae both deceased. Not seeing her with parents on any Scottish census. Perhaps Elizabeth's birth was not registered with the middle name?

	This is a birth record - possibly an illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth ?? You'd have to use some of those credits to see the cert to be sure. GOURLAY ELIZABETH RAE F 1913 644/15 1684 Hutchesontown

	Looked at marriage. David Ward, 23 son of David Ward, Carter and Elizabeth ms Gourley. Robina Stewart, 24 daughter of John Stewart, Carter and Janet ms Walker (deceased). Marriage took place 10 June 1938.

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,667 Send Message	Free search on Scotland's People shows the marriage was in 1938 in the Gorbals RD Surname Forename Spouse Surname Spouse Forename Year Ref RD Name Image View STEWART ROBINA WARD DAVID 1938 644/15 262 Gorbals £7.50 I think it is now, will buy you 30 credits - it will cost 6 credits to look at the marriage certificate which you'll be able to download (as it's over 75 years ago) The certificate will show the Father's names and Mother's maiden names Will leave you spare credits to get a copy of birth certificates - 6 - or to find families in census - 6. Commercial sites have Scotland census 1841-1901 but only transcriptions, originals are on SP. The 1911 is only available via SP.

	You need Scotlandspeople for those searches. It is NOT a subscription site so you have to buy credits to view the records, although I think you can search for free. Kath. x
