Can anyone help please David ward married Robina stewart,who were the parents of both people death notice has Walker and gourley as mother's maiden names thank you in advance for any help you can give

Looked at marriage. David Ward, 23 son of David Ward, Carter and Elizabeth ms Gourley. Robina Stewart, 24 daughter of John Stewart, Carter and Janet ms Walker (deceased). Marriage took place 10 June 1938.

From the 1914 marriage certificate, Elizabeth gives her parents as Hugh, a shoemaker and Jeanie ms Rae both deceased. Not seeing her with parents on any Scottish census.

Perhaps Elizabeth's birth was not registered with the middle name?
