Unfortunately there are two possible baptisms at least, c1815 in Birmingham, , for Richard Bacon, Florence Elizabeth's grandfather:
Name: Richard Bacon Baptism Date: 6 Dec 1814 Baptism Place: Birmingham, St Martin, Warwickshire, England Parish as it Appears: Birmingham, St Martin Father: Richard Bacon Mother: Elizabeth Bacon
Father a cordwainer
or this one two days earlier:
Name: Richard Bacon Age: 0 Birth Date: 4 Dec 1814 Baptism Date: 28 Aug 1815 Baptism Place: Birmingham, St Philip, Warwickshire, England Parish as it Appears: Birmingham, St Philip Father: Richard Bacon Mother: Mary Bacon
Father is also a cordwainer.

Going back to Florence Elizabeth's Whittingham grandparents, Richard and Elizabeth .
This seems to be their son Richard jr's birth:
WHITTINGHAM, RICHARD WESTON GRO Reference: 1856 M Quarter in WOLVERHAMPTON Volume 06B Page 363
and this is their daughter Alice's:
WHITTINGHAM, ALICE WESTON GRO Reference: 1861 J Quarter in WOLVERHAMPTON Volume 06B Page 42
so it looks like Elizabeth Whittingham, Florence Elizabeth Bacon's grandmother, was nee Elizabeth Weston.
There is indeed a marriage of an Elizabeth Weston and Richard Whittingham:
First name(s) Richard Last name Whittingham Age Full Age Marriage year 1844 Marriage date 02 Jun 1844 Marriage place Wolverhampton, St Peter Denomination Anglican Residence Wolverhampton Father's first name(s) R Father's last name Whittingham Spouse's first name(s) Elizabeth Spouse's last name Weston Spouse's age Full Age Spouse's residence Wolverhampton Spouse's father's first name(s) J Spouse's father's last name Weston County Staffordshire Country England
Both bride and groom are of full age. Richard is a mill maker, of Wolverhampton, son of R. Whittingham, a spring maker. The bride is also of Wolverhampton, daur of J Weston, a locksmith.

Going back to Richard and Maria Bacon (Florence Elizabeth's grandparents) , I wonder if Richard were married to more than one Maria?
In census 1851 there is a large gap between son Richard born 1838, and son Thomas born c1850.
1851 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription Court New Town Row, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England
Richard Bacon Head Married Male 36 1815 Spoon Dresser Birmingham, Warwickshire, England Maria Bacon Wife Married Female 31 1820 - Birmingham, Warwickshire, England Richard Bacon Son - Male 13 1838 Spoon Dresser Birmingham, Warwickshire, England Thomas Bacon Son - Male 1 1850 - Birmingham, Warwickshire, England
I went back to the GRO to look for births for the baptisms on children of Richard and a Maria that I posted earlier:
BACON, THOMAS EGGINTON GRO Reference: 1850 J Quarter in BIRMINGHAM Volume 16 Page 293
BACON, WILLIAM EGGINTON GRO Reference: 1854 S Quarter in ASTON Volume 06D Page 245
BACON, MARY EGGINTON GRO Reference: 1856 S Quarter in ASTON Volume 06D Page 253
The birth of John?
BACON, JOHN EGGINTON GRO Reference: 1858 M Quarter in ASTON Volume 06D Page 293
BACON, SARAH MARIA EGGINTON GRO Reference: 1861 M Quarter in ASTON Volume 06D Page 274
Yet Richard born 1838 is mother named Heely, so I guess that Maria died and Richard then married and bred with Maria Egginton.
BACON, RICHARD HEELEY GRO Reference: 1838 S Quarter in ASTON Volume 16 Page 153
So I believe John Bacon's parents were Richard Bacon and Maria Eggington

A possible death for the first wife of Richard Bacon, Maria nee Heely?
BACON, MARIA 28 GRO Reference: 1845 D Quarter in BIRMINGHAM Volume 16 Page 231M Second marriage of Richard Baker to Maria Eggington (parents of John Bacon, grandparents of Florence Elizabeth)
Marriages Dec 1849 Bacon Richard Wolverhampton 17 491 Egginton Maria Wolverhampton 17 491

More detail on the marriage of Richard Bacon to second wife Maria Eggington:
First name(s) Richard Last name Bacon Age 32 Birth year 1817 Marriage year 1849 Marriage date 15 Oct 1849 Marriage place Wolverhampton, St Mary Denomination Anglican Residence St Peters Row Father's first name(s) Richard Father's last name Bacon Spouse's first name(s) Maria Spouse's last name Egginton Spouse's age 30 Spouse's residence St Peters Row Spouse's father's first name(s) Thomas Spouse's father's last name Egginton County Staffordshire Country England Archive reference D1157/3/1/9 Page 7 Register type Marriage
Note we now have the name of Richard's father, another Richard Bacon.
Richard is described as a widower, a white metal smith, of St Peter's Row, and his father Richard is described as a shoemaker - so he is probably one of the cordwainers (cordwainer is an old word for a shoemaker) mentioned in the two possible baptisms I posted for Richard earlier, but no way of telling which one...
Maria is a spinster aged 30 of St Peter's Row, her father Thomas Eggington is described as a jeweller. The witnesses were Joseph Cotton and Mary Ann Cotton.

I found this baptism for a Maria Egginton daur of a Thomas Egginton in Birmingham c1820 (as per her 1851 census entry)
Name: Maria Egginton Age: 1 Birth Date: 8 Jan 1819 Baptism Date: 26 Dec 1820 Baptism Place: Birmingham, St Philip, Warwickshire, England Parish as it Appears: Birmingham, St Philip Father: Thomas Egginton<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Mother: Elizabeth Egginton<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Father a jeweller, which matches with the marriage register entry.
