I don't see any return for him from any country ..... with or without forenames!

We know he went to America 1921 and he married in England in 1929 ,no record of him returning from America so did he move on from America to somewhere else before returning to England ?

could this be him going again later?

I said above that I could find no record of a return for him from ANY country

To clarify ............

I did a search on both Ancestry and FindMyPast, looking for Linford travelling 1931 +/- 10years.

No departure or arrival countries put. No date of birth. No first name or initial(s)

Nada ........... except for the departure in 1921


I also could not find the departure from the UK for the arrival in NY in 1927, and it was not on the Ellis Island site

He appears to have travelled to America in 1921 and 1926 but no return Information for either journey has been recorded , but he married in the uk in 1929 .

Seriously, it's possible that the relevant passenger or crew list have either

a) not survived
b) aren't available on the internet.

Transatlantic air travel had developed by the time he married. However, he doesn't seem to have had the financial status to travel that way. Not that many, if any, landing cards into the UK are available.
