Does anyone have any information on my dad's cousin Robin Peace. He was from Warsop Vale in Nottinghamshire. Probably born around 1926.

It could be that Robin was born later than I thought and that this is who I am looking for. I will write to his son and see if I can get any other information that will confirm the connection.

Can I just ask? In the 1939 register where two of the records in the Household are closed - do you know the reasons that records are closed and how I would be able to check to see if they can be opened.

Record are closed for those under 100 years of age whose deaths havent been picked up to last time the register was updated

It was the reassurance at the time that records would be sealed for 100 years

To check that is the correct cousin, who were your dad's uncles and aunts. Robin must be from your dad's mother's side?

Who were your Dad's grandparents?
If Robin and your Dad were cousins then they must share the same grandparents.
It may be possible to make a link on following the family.

My Dad's grandparents were James (1864 - 1920)and Rosa (1866 - 1948) Peace nee Cox. They had 10 possibly 12 children but all I have is their names and year of birth ranging from 1884 to 1909. I have the children for four of them but not the others. I could send for death certificates but it would be expensive and there is only a slim chance of Robin being named on the death certificate as the informant.

My dad's name was Horace Peace 1928 - 2013 to Arthur Baden Peace 1900 - 1946 and Clara neeTagg. 1900 - 1955 They had 11 children but 3 died in infancy

Arthur's parents were James 1864 - 1920 and Rosa 1865 - 1948 Peace nee Cox
They had 12 children

James' parents were George and Ann Peace nee Miller both born around 1844
They had 11 children

George's mother was Sarah Peace born 1798
I have no other information on Sarah
