Ada's Father, Joseph Keegan, abandoned his wife and children in 1889, when they were taken into the Caistor workhouse. A warrant was issued for him when he was also known as John Smith. Apart from Caroline, her siblings all married locally and lived locally. The inquest into Ada's Mother, names her father as Joseph Francis Keegan. I have not been able to trace him on any census. |

I checked at 87 Orwell Street (where a Joseph Francis Keegan was listed in the directory in 1882)- can't see anything. |

Joseph's age is given as 21 years and his father is John Keegan, gardener. |
