Could someone please look up Emma Jane Feast, born 1895, living in Chatteris, Cambs on 1911 census, please. Done the search on FMP but can't find her on 1901 census. Thanks

Thankyou everyone for your input. I have looked & got myself totally confused about the census results. How can the ages of William be so different between the 2. Can't get my head around it. Chris, yes it was Farby. Need to look at it another day & start again. :-S

1911 original has William Golden as 46 (not 64) - Have reported to FMP
There is also a Memo written in on the form and initialled E.J.B. Reg), stating that William Golden is the Father of the children (who have all had Feast added in red after Golden)

Thanks everyone. Got myself really confused but clearer now. :-) Been doing this for a friend, ironic that I live on the same road as Sarah & William in March. No 3 West End is a large house & now up for sale. I assume they would have only had a room.

Have you seen 1912 Marriage Cert. for William and Sarah Feast? (presume this is who you are following back)
Otherwise could well be confusing! (one being son of William/Fanny M, other being Son of Sarah).
Chris :)
(I believe at one time you offered look up's from Chatteris Parish cd, any help with things from that at all?)

Hi, looked on the Parish Records for the marriage & this is what it says. William Golden, 47,Bac. lab.otp. son of Thomas, lab. Sarah Ann Feast,40, spin. otp. Daughter of Edmond. Wits. Henry Fishery? Bagshaw. Mary Jane Winters. Feb 27th 1912 Chatteris, Cambs. By Superintendants Certificate. What does that mean? This makes William's birth 1865 & Sarah's birth 1872. Found a Sarah Ann Golding death 1905 Cambridge on FBMD. If this is the 1st Sarah on 1901 census, then the 2nd Sarah had her 1st child Fred John Golden Feast born 1903 on 1911 census before 1st Sarah had died! :-S

Not sure what you mean? Are you thinking the Sarah on the 1901 is different to the Sarah on the 1911?
I think they are the same people (this Sarah):

Yes was thinking they were different people but had starting thinking they were the same. Been so confused with it I needed someone else to have a look. So they lied on 1901 census about being married. I know that it is not unusual. Think you may have cracked it.

Yes- not unusual for unmarried couples with children to lie about their status.
The 1905 death is not the correct Sarah as that one was born in 1851.
