So the 1865 death is definitely wrong as we know from the marriage posted by Chris he was born c1837.
This is him and Sarah in 1861 (Surname Golden on image):
1861 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription Fountains Row, March, North Witchford, Cambridgeshire, England
Thomas Gadow Head Married Male 25 1836 Agricultural Labourer March, Cambridgeshire, Sarah Ann Gadow Wife Married Female 22 1839 - March, Cambridgeshire, Emma Jane Gadow Daughter - Female 2 1859 - March, Cambridgeshire, John Thomas Gadow Son - Male 1 1860 - March, Cambridgeshire, Mary Ann Gadow Boarder Unmarried Female 21 1840 Agricultural Labourer March, Cambridgeshire ------------------------------------------------
As said before, Sarah and children are in the workhouse in 1871- she's still listed as married. So where is Thomas?
1881 Sarah is listed as widowed

Yes, not sure there was a said 'Thomas'!...
Chris :)
That is why by looking through cd you will discover those little extra's, like AQ has above, with that Baptism..., and then seeing if you can see anything else for Baptisms, Marriages of those children with Sarah, as posted earlier, if Jane is right one, she names a John as Father...witnesses also could relate in, not sure where Sarah went?, have you looked at Burials on cd also...
Doddington Workhouse Admissions would be useful also.
Wild and windy out in those fens, lol, am sure there are many of surname Golden, and variants also...

But if there wasn't a Thomas who is that on the 1861? I think there was- you posted the marriage. I suspect he left the family sometime after William's birth- and not sure we'd find out the father of other children.

Yes there is that Thomas AQ, not sure if there was for children of Sarah though, seems to be as Baptism for CM one!, just some man named Golden!...(then John named, as Father of Jane on her Marriage, if this Jane relates, that is!)
Confusing eh?...
Chris :)
