A tree on Ancestry suggests that Sarah's maiden name is Rowbotham but I see no proof of this and no marriage for her to Joseph.
I found this Sarah Rowbotham on 1851 which would appear to fit ?

ITEMS OF LOCAL INTEREST. Today Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Battiste, Grafton Street, Worksop, celebrate their Golden Wedding. They were married at St. Chad's Roman Catholic Church, Manchester, on 22nd May 1858, and for 48 years Mr. Battiste has been employed by Shireoaks Colliery, near Worksop, since leaving which he has been employed by Worksop Urban Council. He is a native of Genoa, Italy, but has resided in England since he was 15. Mrs. Battiste is a native of Sheffield, her maiden name being Rowbotham. She is 68 years of age, whilst her husband is nearly 71, and both are very active and well preserved. They have six children surviving, 22 grandchildren and 2 great - grandchildren.

Unfortunately I know of no records online for that particular church, although I do believe that they are held at Lancashire Records Office.
Strangely though, I can't see anything of this marriage on either Lancs BMD or on FreeBMD.
