Find Ancestors

Hi All,

Could some kind person please look at the image of the 1881 census for a William Norrish aged 6 yrs living with his grandfather Stephen Wallace (Wallis) living on South Street Nottingham RG11 Piece 3347, Folio 64, Pg 21 to see if the name Norrish has been transcribed right as cannot find anything else out abt William or who his parents were most likely Elizabeth Wallis daughter of Stephen but cannot find a marriage for her. Elizabeth was born abt 1851 in Beeston cannot find her aft 1861 census.

Is this his marriage please? If so he was still living in Nottinghamshire. I wonder if he's listed on the census under a stepfather's surname in 1891 and 1901.

Not sure I'll have to have a look at the marriage when I'm in Nottingham Archvies this week, all I have on him is that he is the grandson of Stephen Wallis on the 1881 census don't know who his mother or father is :-(

Now to find her on the census. This Wallis family moved around a bit Stephen ended up in the USA at one point and then in Kegworth where he died in 1903.
