The Parkins did adopt my grandma, is there any info of a biological father and how did you find adoption records. I was told they were lost in a fire years ago and i wouldn't be able to find out anything further.

Did the DNA test you used follow back on the female side only, or are you assuming that Hilda's father was of Afro Caribbean origin?

Nottingham archives MAY have something of use.

Just maybe, Mabel took out a court order against him, for child support. Or maybe Hilda was taken in as a ward before being placed with the Parkins.
