Hi there l would like some help please. I have not done much on this family has l cant find information l keep hitting walls.
Were Still born children in the 1800s and early 1900s registered?
I will put what information l have already on these people and if help me to fill in the blanks if possible.
John leese 1873 born Stoke- On-Trent: He married
Sarah Evans 1873 birth also Stoke-On-Trent.
Sarah father is named Edward Evans 1850- Shropshire Sarah Mother is Sarah Johnson 1851 also born in Shropshire.
I have no ideal if sarah had any siblings at all
I did a search on staffordshire free BMd and l came up with
1892- florrie and twin May- Belive died at birth 1893- Harry also believed to die at birth 1895- emma--- she lived 1896- Alice believed to have die at birth 1897- Lillian- believed to have lived 1898- Beatrice -- believed to have died 1900- Alice. Believed to have die 1901- george-- Belived to have lived 1903- Alice she lived-- Rose believed to have died 1904- cicely-- Lived 1907-John- Lived 1908-Frederick-Lived 1910- Norman/ reginald- Belivied died 1913- Alan Lived
I know there a lot of kids but l cant locate death cert for them and any other information. This is all l have on them

Stillborns werent registered till 1927 when a separate still birth register was started . This is only open to the parents of the child

You should be able to find Sarah (1873) on the FREE 1881 census on familysearch, to see whether she had siblings
freebmd would be better than Staffs site for deaths.............the Staffs site has transcribed only a very limited number of records

As with Sarah, look for him in 1881
Much more fun to find info yourself
If that doesn't prove conclusive, a copy of his marriage cert would probably help
