If she is registered at the same address in 1911, then she is probably the best bet for Mary Ann's mother.

Re my great grandmother, as far as my family is aware, Evelina Cornish was the youngest of 10 children, 6 having died before she was born. I am seeing my grandmother this weekend however, so I will see if she is aware of any later children. (The ones we know about, who survived early childhood are Violet May, b. 1899, William Andrew, b. 1902, and Sidney, b. 1907, before Evelina, b. 1911. I have also found a Lilian Eliza, b. 1901, d. 1901, and Sidney, b. 1903, d. 1903, but do not know the names of the other children).

Thats great, thanks :-) I will run those by my grandmother when I see her. Possibly the same family but I'm not sure (none of the others had Parminter, or any variants of the spelling as a middle name as far as I am aware)

Phymeter isn't the middle name, it's the mother's maiden name which was included in birth registrations after 1911.

I think on one of the earlier posts about Alice and Reginald, it shows Phymeter as a potential middle name. I might have misread that though...

Rose possibly Lauren read your births you put up as the middle name of Phymeter and thats why I posted the actual reg and highlighted the MOTHERS MAIDEN NAME with **********.

It can get confusing as I know I did'nt quite understand these things when I first started.
