Yep everything fits! Massive thank you for all the information :) just told my dad we have Irish blood. My mum is always moving on Irish travellers. Which means there is a chance she is moving on some not so distant relatives of mine! Kind of exciting really.

I've informed my dad. And I told my little brother we now need to learn the Irish accent. We cracked the Scottish. Not the welsh as it's to difficult.

Gemma, I realise money is tight but if you take out the standard GR membership for 6 months (£12) you will still have access to the GR boards and GR trees. That way if you need any further help you can come back on the boards and ask.

As you can see from this thread, there are lots of members willing to help - and most of them have subs to other sites as well as GR - and are willing to give their time to help. They've helped me enormously in the past.

It's an addictive hobby for most :-D

I think that's now most sides of the family covered-Irish travellers, Scottish railway plate layers, Welsh miners, French romances and everything else English. Still have my ancestry subscription until November. After that I'm on my own. Will have a think about the 6 month deal on here though.
Started off a couple of years ago just looking around. I have a tree from 2006 but that wasn't really anything. I've gone back quite far everywhere else. Might have to start using the record office more in that case! They have free access to just about everything. :-D
