No I thought there was a Vittorio born in 1946 that then may have become victor Worthington when he was a year old as this was whn my mum met and married mr Worthington who wasn't victor's dad

Yes you're right the other Vittorio was from Edinburgh - wrong year of birth

Hi Peter, without any proof we can't be sure but I think that Maria Antonia and Michele (Michael) Pacitti were Josephine's parents and therefore also Roses. This would make them your grand parents. If we have the right people then Josephine died in Southend on Sea in Essex and so did Maria. Perhaps she lived with her daughter. The marriage that PH found for Victor M Worthington to Kathleen Drury was in Rochford in Essex. Currently theses two places are only 2.9 miles apart.

As I said nothing is proven but it is looking good........ish :-)

ah brilliant thanks you guy's. I have had a message from another member on here with 2013 electrol roll addresses for the 2 girl's born to the Victor and kathleen (the marriage record detailed on here for victor m worthington born in 1946) i've drafted letters to each and will post them in the morning - both in the essex again!!!! Really so thankful to you all, finger's crossed!

Oh and George Marshall ......I shall look again at the records and see what I can pull out but they're pretty vague. i am sure they basically Just state his age at the time, that he was a guest house owner and that my mother worked for him as a housekeeper :-/

No I'm in Kent not far from essex. Before recently when I'd searched a victor worthington an address in essex cropped up on the electrol roll but that victor worthington wasn't there anymore. Also in my records it said that Victor lived at review road in essex whilst my mother was in confinement
